To be fair that was some puddle that developed at the corner. I thought the ref may have given the groundstaff some time to attempt to clear it but he didn't.  I think he may have used that as an excuse to abandon the game but to be honest he may well have been correct to do so as the light was very poor. It was getting pretty dark.
On the 45 minutes , over the piece The Bens were the better footballing side and missed a few really good chances and the Lie keeper had a superb save from McLaren.  Not too upset to be sitting in the pub thawing out.

Took this game (half) in as cambuslang was off , thought arthurlie where well worth their lead, benburb looked strong down their right , with a lot of support but arthurlie where very direct with quick countering down the wings and supporting the strikers.
Battled well aswell. Sad the game was called off, was enjoying it and looking forward for 2nd half!
Great to see ex cambuslang players Hal and Tiger in about the battle. Both had good 1st half’s, would love to see their passion back at somervell

Arthurlie played three up top and that seemed to rattle the Benburb back line. The last thing Benburb wanted after last week's drubbing was to lose an early goal today, and they looked quite frustrated towards half time when they had missed a couple of good chances, as well as Digney's excellent save from McLaren's curler. It would have been a real test for Benburb in the second half, a goal down and shooting up the hill in horrible conditions, but the referee saved them from that test.

4-4 at Winton, sounds a cracker

Was a cracker Tel boy....3 nothing doon and doon to 10 men at HT.  Got a goal back then we got a saft pen. Then another pen (not soft) and it was 3 each. Comedy defending meant 4 - 3 doon then doon the slope and a shot into the top corner 4 each a minute later.  Complaint going into the Winton committee for having a playable pitch when the watching conditions merited an abandonment.

How long before a counter version appears Stuart? Usually at least two different visions of any stamash

I basically seen it all unfold mate. Troon are more than welcome to come with a counter statement but there’s no defending their behaviour today. Jared was celebrating with the fans coming off today and a few ‘GIRUY’s were directed to Kirkwood for his comments earlier on in the season. Bailie threw the first punch and Jared had no option but to defend himself.

Troon centre mid sent off at full time too for spitting on a meadow committee member.

Kirkwood is a joke. His comments this week regarding mental health were at best ill advised. If you don't know much about it better juat staying quiet.

Not every one has a silver spoon and a range rover ......

Read that one about Kirkwood and his "Deal with it" quote. And if that wasn't bad enough his Mrs and some guy who gets paid a handsome sum each week from him tries to defend it as a motivational speech. Do one! Wonder if he told big Tade just to deal with it. Hopefully either himself or any of his family are never effected by MH. Then he can continue to live in his own wee bubble. Daddy's money can't buy brains I suppose.

Shocking behaviour from the Troon committee and players.  Spitting on someone has got to be the lowest of the low, total scumbag.  I hope that the officials deal with this the right way.

Few red cards after the Meadow/Troon game today. Not sure how our full back is meant to react after being punched in the face from one of the Troon management team.

absolutely embarrassing behaviour.

Just like meadow at bellsdale a few weeks ago with spence and latta trying to ref the whole game and running the length of the pitch to get opponents sent off............ That's embarrassing behaviour and you lot at the meadow can't even see it.

As for Troon they're a good lot and have never ever encountered any of that against them. Common denominator here is the meadow and a horrible gang.

It’s clear as day in the video that the Troon coach throws the first punch. It’s actually mental that you’re defending that.

and I agree about Troon, they are a good bunch. Some good players, a good committee and brilliant fans but their management team are severely lacking in grace and decorum.

Dont rise tae that banger stuart all his posts are cringeworthy .  No 1 contender for bawbag of the year

Just weird how he’s trying to defend his players actions in a completely unrelated thread. Again, it was Lattas fault that the Beith player chucked the ball at his face from point blank range and got a red card.

cant remember the other red card but I’m sure that’ll be the meadow players fault too!

The biggest cringe is that spence and latta tried to ref the game and were running the length of the park trying to get players sent off. The modern day scourge of football is that carry on, if you're trying to defend that then you're clearly so biased that there's no point in even trying to debate with you.
