As we approach the Xmas break with the majority of teams playing there last competitive game this wkd how would you say the season has went so far?

Any teams that have surprised/disappointed?

If involved with a Club , hows the season going so far, better/worse than expected?

Signings, any Clubs linked or hoping to bring players in over the break?

Blantyre rgm, shaky start getting the fallin n Bridgewater away both defeats but great reaction from the lads from then on in , Scottish big disappointment but losing our keeper that day killed us but take nothing away from castlemilk they deserved it on the day coming from 2 down so fair play to them . After that the lads have been class showing great attitude to book a place in the last 32 of the West with a tie v shortlees to look forward to and also doing well in league cups so long may it continue , but still loads a hard work to do.

22nd will be a big date for our calender as we welcome fallin to bothwellhaugh looking to rectify our first game but it will be a cracking game also , league's not won or lost for Christmas so looking forward to next year already.

Merry Xmas folks from us all at RGM

Third Lanark.......

Been a tough transition to the CSAFL over from the Greater Glasgow. We were used to a league where we would just outscore the opposition and lost only a few games over 2 seasons. We’ve been a bit up and down and went through a bad patch where we lost something like 4 or 5 games in a row. A couple we played well but lost and a couple we played badly and were punished. Adapting to losing is something we knew we’d have to do more than before.

We’re also evolving in terms of the personnel here. We’ve brought in a lot of younger players this year and its left some of the older players in and out the squad. Some have reacted well and some haven’t but thats just part and parcel.

We turned a corner with a win v Bridgewater that i’m sure took a few by surprise. They beat us earlier in the season and we truly felt that them winning 2-1 was hard on us. Again, it just highlights that you can play well here and lose. After the Bridgewater game we’ve not lost and also got through to the last-32 in the West. Its the furthest we’ve ever got in the tournament and its the whole reason we moved to the Central. We’re currently sitting 2nd bottom with 2/3 games in hand against most teams. Only played 5 games. Overall i’m happy with how we’re doing. We’re starting to settle.

Sandys - Started the season the way we finished the last by winning the Champions cup, even though we lost a few players. After that we have been disappointing in games especially the 3 games we lost on the trot against Tollcross and Steins. We have added a couple of new faces since then and also a couple of guys have returned who left at the start of the season. A few of our boys who were fantastic last season haven't quite been as consistent for us this season but we hope a wee break will bring a freshness for us with big games coming up after the year. Still in the East which has eluded us for a long time now. We also still harbour ambitions of winning the league for the 3rd season in a row which would be some achievement.

Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to all involved in the amatuer game. Look after eachother in the party season boys
