To take some of the best attackers in the country currently as an example , you'll always see Forrest, McGregor, Christie and so on arcing their runs or running diagonally off the ball to drag their markers about and free up space  for someone else.

The amount of times we've seen someone running with the ball into the final third only for three or four forwards to be holding their position, literally walking into the box is infuriating and not something a self-declared proponent of attractive football should failed to have lanced out the team over the course of the last 6-7 weeks.

If any team is even remotely competent at defending set-pieces and second balls they've got an easy 1-3 points against us.

This.  We are so, so ponderous in possession, to the point that it now seems that two managers are specifically instructing them to do so.  People can rage every time we don't pass the ball immediately forward, but if there's no-one moving, and the only pass is likely to put the receiver under pressure, of course we're going to be passing it square or backwards.  And to be honest, they don't even need to be particularly competent at defending set-pieces, as we're never competent at actually delivering them.

Credit to Alloa, they were the better side.  Lacked a bit of ambition for me with settling for the draw, could well have gotten the three points with how poor we were.

Looking on the bright side, players on both sides deserve praise for keeping on playing, largely without resorting to physicality - Bannigan apart - in such dreadful conditions. All too often, conditions like that nullify any attempt at football. (On the other hand, the referee who allowed a game to be played where hail was lying on a pitch with undersoil heating.... :thumbsdown)

This was probably a game we would have lost 6 weeks ago and we're hardly the only team to lose points to Alloa this season.

If you check the majority of our game posts you will see that nearly EVERY teams Fans barring. AUFC and possibly Ross county will say they played P*sh against us its really normal..

Tbf, we've been pish against absolutely everybody for over a year and a half, and have noted as much on just about every single individual match thread.

So please don't take it as if we've only said we were pish because it was against Alloa.

I get that.. but when we take points off teams it is because they suddenly became pish! it starts to grind a bit...
