ICTChris
The word “misunderstanding” is doing seriously heavy lifting in that story.

Guest
I thought the Hotel staff were pretty good and went above and beyond. The bottom line is that the "family" are rockets and the Hotel staff thought they were doing them a favour. Pretty sure this is just another publicity stunt where they get their holiday refunded and get their minute of fame that everyone seems to crave nowadays. Pathetic...... Gnash
Also that. They go on a holiday to celebrate the birthday of a dead person, want balloons and cake in the room... and then complain that the staff take initiative in humouring these nutcases by making a effigy of the departed? Crikey.
supermik
Meh, amateurs. They should have done this. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3487694/Now-s-resting-peace-Dead-Puerto-Rican-man-propped-chair-holding-cigarette-eyes-OPEN-funeral.html
Archie McSquackle
I was going to say that I didn't understand why they would go to the media with the story but it looks as though they only got a refund when they went to the local BBC. Not that it merited them all getting their holiday for free - a simple apology should have been sufficient.

I hardly ever go about calling people's dead relatives alky.
