Brilliant second half, much more like ourselves, looked like they got a bit of a going over at half time because from the first minute we turned into Livi again, won every second ball, got the ball inti dangerous areas and got the reward.

Fair play to Menga, he was better second half, still think Hamilton came on and done more in the time he was on the park.

In Hardie we have a poacher, someone on the end of those chances that we didn’t have earlier in the season, great to see him back.

Big big win, onto Tuesday night now.

Delighted.

Much better fight in the second half...Menga was like a man possessed, must have had a rocket up the arse at half time. Great to see Hardie get off the mark. Jack Hamilton made quite a nuisance of himself after he came on, hopefully keeps it up. Hope Lamie's injury isn't too bad either although Jack McMillan was superb coming off the bench. I thought Burns was the straight forward replacement but McMillan did really well.

In fairness, Menga has come out a different player in the second half

Agreed, was much better second half, still think Hamilton done more in the time he was on the park, but Menga much much better.

Can’t say I’m too surprised by that, we really are terrible.

Livingston are now 16 points ahead of us and have played a game less. For a team that finished 12 points below us last season, that’s some turnaround.

Kudos and all that, whatever is going on there you’re doing it right.

I don’t think it’s rocket science tbh, we got absolutely hammered by the press and fans of other clubs for making signings when we didn’t have a manager, we kept nearly the entire squad together and added some quality to it and kept our style of play the same.

Stubbs on the other hand took over a squad that only needed added to and tore it up, ruining what was a good squad more than capable of holding their own in the top flight.

Saints look a pale shadow of the team from last year. The central defence was awful and the ball retention in midfield was non-existent.

Livvy are so well organised and the work ethic was on a different level to a pedestrian St Mirren side.

Quite pish from us so far, just haven't got going. Need to much better in the second half but got a feeling it'll be just as frustrating and the game will fizzle out and stay as it is.

Proven wrong by this Livi team. Again.

Hardie is like a new signing, think him and Menga/Hamilton can be a couple of good partnerships. Lee Miller can't be far away now either?

The contrast in performance between the first and second half was night and day. Utterly ineffectual in an attacking sense, with Ferdinand winning every aerial ball in sight. Majorly disappointing to see us lose another goal from set piece after being so tight up until the last month or so.

Second half was so much better, had that bite and extra yard which we’ve been missing for a few weeks now. The difference in having a striker such as Hardie up top again cannot be understated, his goal perfectly exemplifying that. Mental to think that 22 of our 25 points so far were won without a striker!

We really need to take that second half performance into the game on Tuesday, if we play like we did in the first half we’ll get absolutely nothing.

Just finishing up watching this game on Alba. St Mirren weren't fantastic in the first half but were the better side. It's amazing how conceding one goal in the second half saw them retreat to the edge of their box for the rest of the game. Completely sucked the confidence out of them. I don't remember them creating anything second half.

Very worrying that they have now lost a lead four times in their last five matches and have relied so heavily on one player for goals - Hammill has now scored or assisted seven of their last eight goals and put the corner in for the other one.

Night and day the first half compared to second half. Far to many long balls first half missing out our midfield. Second half we passed ball on floor and completely dominated the game. Byrne and Keags controlled game and we look much better when we pass ball. Great to see Hardie back natural finisher. Jack Mcmillan done well today when he came on. Also mentions for Hamilton and sibbald who made good impact
