Hadn't realised that interlagos contract ended this year and that they have seriously fallen out with liberty. Shame as I love it as a track and it has seen so many historic moments.

Supposed to be a new track going to be built in Rio at Deodoro an old military base.

Back in the days when Brazil had drivers in contention for the world title the start finish straight matched in atmosphere any football ground in the world, never realised how close the fans were to the track either, the noise must have been amazing. Not many circuits have that combination of where the craziest fans are situated and a main overtaking part of the track. Senna Ultras.

It would be a shame if we lose another one of the old tracks.

I see Kimi is in talks with Alpha Romeo about next season and Yuki Tsunoda could be driving for AlphaTauri next season probably replacing Kvyat, Gasly looks to be safe due to his recent form.

Haas have 10 drivers on their list of potentials for the race seats next season and Calum Illot isn't one of them. Both Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg have been linked but from what I've read the team are looking at bringing in younger drivers than those two who would be the best option to stay with the team longer term.

Fp1 cancelled due to the weather, who thought the nurburgring in October was a good idea
Foggy around the track, but cancelled as the conditions were even worse around the nearest hospital so the medical helicopters couldn't fly and it's too long a journey by road.

I see the engine manufacturers are closing ranks to say that the issue is how the hybrid engines have been marketed.

Best part of this weekend so far is Vettel’s helmet in tribute to Schumacher.

Friday practice washed out.
Hopefully could shake things up for the race should it go ahead. No practice or qualy for months in Nascar so they'll just need to suck it up and get on with it.

Bottas tried to hand Hamilton the win from the start, and has finally managed to let him past after about 15 laps

Bottas out. Championship as good as Hamilton's if he wins.

The number of front running cars retiring means a slower team like Ferrari has a chance of a decent points haul today.

I was astonished to see bottas re-passing hamilton in the first corner before his mistake let him through and eventually engine issues.

Fingers crossed for a danny ric podium!
Hamilton and verstappen will lap the field at this rate

Short odds on a SC with Michael Masi as race director. Surely a VSC would be safer given the cold temperatures...

Even worse is them letting the lapped cars unlap themselves then give enough time to let them get up the road a bit. Why not just drop them to the back of the pack? They’re already a lap down.

That would only solve one part of the problem (getting rid of the Ferrari in between Lewis and Max). But the other problem is that Ferrari (think it was Leclerc) would be shafted because it would've lost almost a lap to the car ahead just because he'd been lapped by the leader. So letting cars unlap themselves is the right thing to do, but the time it takes is why VSC is better.
