Leicesterlichtie
Hamilton making out FIA are against him. Maybe if he didn't break the rules he may well have gone on to win the race. Maybe it's Mercedes trying to keep the championship interesting. Team should've known better.
Sherrif John Bunnell
Hamilton has had the penalty points rescinded as the FIA are blaming Mercedes rather than Hamilton.
Mr. Brightside
I wonder if they would have been so generous if Hamilton was on 0 penalty points.
Jupiter Jazz
The driver surely has a responsibilty to be on top of these rules.

That's surely something that would have been covered in the drivers' briefing? Wonder what other penalty points that reasoning would apply to? Mr. Brightside
Quite a dangerous precedent on that point, not sure it definitely applies here but the "but the team said it was fine" isn't a viable excuse.

Sherrif John Bunnell
I can see Vettel leaving before Abu Dhabi, so there might even be a race seat going spare that weekend.

Stu
Guessing the car company needs some attention but nuts when they're on the verge of success. Red Bull could be screwed now. Fell out big time with Renault and can't see Ferrari or Mercedes willing to supply their biggest rival. If they did, they may also have to supply Alpha Tauri, meaning they'd be supplying half the grid which isn't great either.
afc_36_0
I agree it leaves red bull up shit creek. Could be crawling back to renault unless anyone new comes into the sport which is highly unlikely given the costs and complexities of the current engines
Mr. Brightside
The FIA can force Renault to supply Red Bull if it came down to it. I don't see that there is any way that Mercedes or Ferrari supply them, unless the rumour of Mercedes leaving is true, they could move to become an engine partner with Red Bull.
Mackie The Staggie
There is a potential (although extremely unlikely) possibility of Toyota making an engine available. There have been a number of rumours that Ferrari are looking to entry the new Hypercar regs for the WEC/LeMans using their F1 engine as a base, since Toyota are already set for the Hypercar regs, could it be possible that Toyota's engine would be suitable for F1?
Mr. Brightside
Hybrid engines were a really shit idea for motorsport.
