According to Lando, McLaren never told him they expected the rain to get heavier. Not sure how much I believe that tbh.

The end of that was heart breaking. Probably not felt like that at the end of a race since Hill's Arrows hit trouble towards the end of Hungary '97.

It was a perfect storm (fittingly). If there was 10 laps to go he'd have pitted. If he was down in seventh or eighth rather than going for a win they'd have pitted. He'd probably have pitted if he already had a race win too.

The mentioned on commentary the cars skidding about was like Bambi on ice. The end of the race was a bit like the end of the film...
