Racing Point threw this race, Perez should have been allowed to pass Stroll he would have had a better chance at winning.

Why has Perez been dropped by RP/AM anyway? This is a driver on top of his game right now and they've brought in a driver who looks to be on the way down even if he is a four times world drivers champion. Serious decision flaws by the leadership there. Perez is clearly the better driver than Vettel right now.

Hamilton very much so the class of the field right now, different level.

Stroll was questioning the decision to pit a few laps before he stopped so maybe they learned from that and didn't stop Perez as the new inters didn't work.

For RP/AM Stroll brings the money, Vettel the experience to improve the car, though the decision was made earlier in the year.

Bottas says he had damage from the first lap collision with Ocon at turn 9 - funnily enough if Lewis hadn't gone up the inside of Ricciardo then Ocon and Bottas wouldn't have spun at turn 1.

Thought Perez brought in the bucks and Stroll got a seat because daddy was calling the shots?

I thought they were going to pit Perez but there were yellow flags in the pitlane after KMag stopped at the pit exit, so he kept going?

Can't think of any other father who has bought a team so his son could compete at the highest level in this sport.

Has there been any other father owner, son driver teams in motorsport?

Andretti Autosport in Indycar first springs to mind with Michael Andretti as a driver and owner and ran his son Marco as a driver for many years. Marco is a pretty solid driver but not in the same class as his dad or his grandad so driving for the family business has probably stretched out his career a lot longer than if he drove elsewhere. So don't be surprised if Lance Stroll is still around in F1 in 2030.

Didn't Alain Prost not have his son Nicolas driving for the DAMS team in Formula E?

Anyone else?

Similar to Andretti, Graham Rahal drives for his dad Bobby's team in Indycar. I think it probably happens a fair bit in sportscar, although there you often get the team owner also being the driver rather than his son.

Although not the owner, I think Latifi's dad has a stake in Williams and there was talk Nikita Mazepin's dad was going to buy a stake in Haas to get him a drive there.
