The suggestion that being bottom of the Championship in December is a disaster for Alloa is truly moronic.

Its really not.

Being below this genuinely atrocious Falkirk side is disastrous for any team in this league, don't try and hide behind your diddieness.

Alloa fans acting like being bottom (possibly) when they're having a decent season and a surprise package to many isn't a big deal is adorable. Throw in how bad we've been and Thistie too.

Falkirk fans trying to kindle some kind of rivalry with Alloa is adorable. Not how I saw this season going.

Teams may have picked up less points in previous seasons but thats more to do with the fact that the standard was better than it is this season.  Its you guys that dont have an understanding of how bad the likes of  Froxy, Owen Evans, Dallison, Mackin and Turner etc are . We've no played a really decent side yet and yet we're a mile off the top.  We recently  got hammered off Stenhousemuir the worst side in league one so if that doesnt tell you how awful we are then somethings far wrong and says it all about the standard of the championship this season if we arent bottom in January.

Cup games are never a great guide but we beat the side who are unbeaten at the top of that league 4-2. We beat a Brechin side who are above Stenny 3-0.

I think the nicest thing I can say about some of the Falkirk fans is that they are a little excitable. I'll leave it at that.

We drew with RC and did that whilst adopting the sit-in and hit on the break tactics, like we do in all away games. The fear is that we'll take the game to Alloa as we're at home rather than use the same tactics that have gotten us all of our points so far.

We took the game to Stenny and look how that worked out!

I admit it's true, after our friendly I knew we were just as competitive as Falkirk.

Sadly I thought that meant we were a stick on for the promotion playoffs and a crack at the premiership next year. /s

Dont you come in too hot in the build up mucker. Dont want another repeat of the Dundee Utd match thread.

As Leodhas has pointed out, this shows a real lack of understanding of the different situations.

For the record, your squad might well be rank rotten, but it's most definitely not one of the worst ever at this level. Have a look at some of the points totals down the years, you already have more than a few teams managed over a season. You are shite by your own standards but there have been worse squads and plenty of them.

Despite the Falkirk tendencies for exaggeration, and as undeniably bad as their squad has clearly been, it's not even the worst at this level in 2018!

What was couldn't buy a win Brechins total?

4 points all season (as Ranaldo said) and only 1 in 2018 which was against Morton on January 6th. They got all four points at home also, didn't manage a single point away from home.

A draws not an option when the question was who will win.

What about nobody then, since you're splitting hairs?

Surely a draw is an Alloa win?

or should we be putting heads to beds before Falkirk pad their team out with league winning superstars come January?

Hate this accepted idea that our January recruitment will STRENGTHEN the team. We have been here before folks and you can’t say we are better until we see what the new signings bring. Okay I trust Ray more than Hartley ( given summer disaster) but we don’t know

We've been here before 12 months ago and it worked even with Hartley in charge.  If Mckinnon cant sign better players than the dung we currently have then we are in serious trouble.
