Cowden v QP

Always something novel about a midweek away game. Cowden are no longer an absolute gang and that this will be a very tough game.
Although we drew, I'm still of the opinion that our performance at Hampden against them was up there with our best in terms of general play. We should genuinely have won about 5-0. Think we missed at least three one on ones and had several other near misses.
Different story at Central Park. It'll be a battle and Cowdenbeath will hope to have more of a foothold on the game. From our perspective, we have guys who will relish the battle in Gerry, Dom McLaren and Jambo. We're also more of a goal threat than we were last time out against them. As ever, anything picked up on the road isn't going to derail your season, but we can win this one at our best. Cowden will feel the same. Don't expect there to be too much in this.
I agree on balance QP were the better team on the day but my recollection was that 5-5 was a more likely result than 0-0.

Both sides had great chances and after 15 mins it could have been 3 each.

Who'd have thought two sets of fans see it differently, eh? Most of our results this year have been fair for our effort but that was definitely the one game that was in the two-points-lost drawer. Even if it was 5-4. But the goal machine has been fired up since then so the prospect is decent for tonight.  A two goal advantage at the final whistle would see us jump into fourth in the league, for a few days at least.

JORDAN JOINS BLUE BRAZIL

Cowden boss Gary Bollan today swooped to sign forward Jordan Allan who had been with Wolverhampton Wanderers since 2014.

Jordan of course signed for Wolves from Airdrie where he had made his first team debut in the Scottish League at the age of just 14. He was then signed by Wolves at the age of just 15. Jordan had a loan spell back at Airdrie last season and is expected to be in the squad for tonight's match at Central Park v Queen's Park.

You absolutely battered us that day but a lot of it was down to Bollan getting our line up horribly wrong. We had one real chance - you had three/four sitters. Your striker was absolutely mince though and your fans were all angry about something that wasn’t even close to being a penalty.

Wondered if that was the Jordan Allan who was with Wolves. But actually came on here to ask...

Was away to ask if it was the Falkirk lad. Spelling is different but that could easy be a typo.

Aye, that^^^

Boys are flying now! If we could just beat bloody Albion Rovers on Saturday surely all attention would turn to the promotion play offs...
We'll lose on Saturday. Seen this far too many times!

Looks like an excellent result tonight.

It would certainly change the mind set of everyone involved. Another great result. Onwards and upwards. Well done Cowden.

2-0 flattered QP. Should have been out of sight after 10 minutes - best performance in a long time. Effort levels from the players was immense.

At times it's not pretty but both goals were scored from very good link up play. All the players are doing an outstanding job defensively. Credit to the lot of them and the management team.
