Genuinely baffled by this.
I don't recall us hitting the post even once.   What incidents are you referring to?

Am I being somehow whooshed, or did I actually nod off at one point without noticing?

Fordyce hit a ball in and Dykes headed it onto the outside of the post.

Dykes 2nd half diving header hit the post.

Apology required to my son then. He said it hit the post, I thought it just missed narrowly. Dad wrong again!

That'll teach the Partick fans to boo the ref! Stonewall penalty and he thinks "I'll get it right up them!" and doesn't give it!

I've got to say that it looked a Hell of a lot like a penalty to me.

You could tell from the players' reaction that it went well beyond a hopeful appeal.

I thought Dykes had one off the post in the first half as well? A shot at the back post that I think he had to manoeuvre his body to get on the end of. Maybe it hit the post that holds the net up behind the goals.

His diving header definitely hit the post. Very unlucky from a great ball in from Fordyce of all people.

Well the win is a small consolation for a massive loss. Hopefully it's not too serious but if it's a 6 week job we have a long couple of months ahead of us. We'll see if we really do rely on Dobbie that much (we do).

Thistle are really poor and we didn't look much better. A draw would have been fair. Thistle created little but we hardly had their 'keeper sweating either.

It's another tired cliche but I wonder if McLean genuinely did leave his cards at home. Stirling and Harkins should have received easy yellows and the Thistle No. 2 practically karate kicked Todd in the first half. And if it's not a penalty he absolutely has to book the boy for the dramatic dive.

Dykes easily our best player but Fordyce did little wrong either.

"Don't think I've ever felt as down after a win :(

Just realised my initial post didn't send. Just to say, I too feel as down as 19QOS19.Dreadful game. Dobmeister looking like he will miss a fair amount of  games. QOS fans... expect a containing shitfest attitude for the next few months.

We won enjoy the win  can't believe I am saying this but think positive Dobbie injury might not be as bad as you think

Looked a stonewall penalty - was waiting for Ref to point to the spot. I am pretty sure that a huge bullet dodged in that instance but footage will tell story.

Thistle deserved a point but despite not playing well we shaded the chances slightly.

Thistle definitely moved the ball better than we did - we just keep running away from the ball which creates a huge gap in the middle. That said we defended well and can’t recall Martin having any big saves to make.

When in a winning position we always seem to find a way to make the last few minutes as uncomfortable as possible and on this occasion my initial feeling that we survived due to Referee error.

Dykes did very well.

For all I thought McLean was poor, if it turns out it was indeed a penalty then the linesman has let Thistle down as he would surely have been best placed to see it.

The Thistle players certainly thought so.  When the ref went over to see the linesman, I was expecting the penalty to be given.  Any consultation seemed pretty cursory though and nothing changed.

I'm keen to see it again, but at this stage I totally agree with the consensus that says we got lucky.

Queens actually created a chance which was beautifully finished. We'd have probably missed the penalty anyways, so fair fucks to the Doonhamers.

Enjoy your night Curly.

Hmm, I see that it’s not just Arabs you like noising up......

Like the special boy in the room who always has to draw attention to himself, I am happy to give you some; well done.

One thing that does my head in more than anything else is a lack of self awareness; hence my response yesterday to some of your inane posts on our thread last night,

Whilst we got royally pumped last night, our new manager has delivered 16 points out of a possible 21 in the league since he came in, whilst your’s has delivered 1 out of a possible 18, and a direct, route, (do not pass Go, do not collect £200) to the bottom of the Championship. This is pure (double) relegation material if ever I saw it.

Whilst I appreciate United were not good last night, and I offered full plaudits to the team that beat us, all you did,  as the sole Jag on the thread, though your petty and inane comments was to make sure everyone at the top end of the table had a good look at your team, who’s only point in the last 9 games came form a scrappy draw against your relegation rivals.

I don’t know what United did to upset you quite so much but you really need to let it go.....

I have always had a really soft spot for Thistle and their loyal support, and have to say that the only reason I take any pleasure in the current situation you find yourselves in, is that hopefully it makes you unhappy. For the rest of the Jags on here, no offence, I have enjoyed many a nice prematch pint and chat in the Aitken.

Even the daftest Arab on here doesn’t go onto the Dee’s thread just now telling them how shite they are, because we know where we are just now.

You being such a fud the way you are with us, just invites unneccessary ridicule on your fantastic club, especially give the shite you are currently mired in. Give it a fuckin’ rest.

As I said, that took 10 minutes out of my Saturday night, but I have a beer in my hand so am willing to spare you the time.

Sleep well.

Yeah, it’s definitely Jagfox who’s upset in this situation.

Definitely.
