Rangers vs Livingston 24th November

Recommended Posts

Hamilton came on against Celtic in our league opener and immediately improved our attack, scored against St Mirren in Holts first game in charge too, but has dropped down into the reserves since Menga signed.  Robinson is decent enough up front with his pace and energy but he has a tendency to go in with an early reckless challenge that get a yellow card then is walking a tightrope all game, that would be a tad risky at Ibrox.

Whatever we do, neither of them will have a full game, it'll take a lot out of whoever starts.

I agree to giving Hamilton a run out.  Why on earth would you not play our only available striker.  It's time he got a chance.  There should be no pressure on him since given the difference in resources between the two clubs and the fact that the game is at Ibrox we are not expected to win anyway. Why have him in the squad if we don't use him?

Interest extremely high in this game I see.

It's this stop start pish, 2 international breaks and missing weekends due to opposition teams playing cup games, it really kills momentum and interest between games. You can't really sustain  2 weeks of enthusiasm between games.

December is going to be mental though, complete opposite, you'll hardly get time to talk about one game and we'll be onto the next one.

Aye, you’re right, it is total stop-start pish.

Professional football is meant to be on (basically) every Saturday, at 3pm, to give us something to get us through each week of our miserable lives.

ps. Fair play to Tierney for saying McLeish talking push over his ‘injury’.

I enjoy the OF games for the atmosphere, but man the patter on these threads goes downhill for those games.

Looking forward to this game - test our defense out at the highest scorers in the division. Haven't conceded more than one goal a game since the first game of the season, but Rangers are scoring for fun at Ibrox.

I think the loss of Dolly Menga is a big one. We just don't have a replacement centre forward at the moment, we'll probably end up with some kind of weird 3-6-1. And after the last international break we were a little slow in getting back up to speed.

But to be less of a Negative Nancy, the fortnight off should have given time for all of those plastic-pitch induced injuries to ease up so we'll be raring to go. That and Rangers looked nothing like scoring into us last time out, so they'll need some very different ideas this time.

1-0. Head says Rangers, heart says Livi.
