Scosha
As expected, this Morton team are far too soft. I really want JJ to do well here, but as every game passes it’s getting more and more frustrating.
Colkitto
Was Tidser on in the 2nd half? He completely disappeared . Shows how important McAlistair is for us - really showed when he went off. We really need to be a bit more composed up front. Also, the players really need to show a bit of steel when things are not going to plan. Crowd started to get on their backs and they responded by getting nervy and careless. Won't be a walk in the park but we really should win up there next week. #Gary
Robert Thomson managed to be the worst player on the park despite playing about a 3rd of it... Get him to feck
IainMorton
What's the story with Gary Oliver? Heard it was a shocking challenge from Stevenson and he may have a broken collar bone?

It wasn’t just a shoulder barge/cynical challenge to stop Oliver, he lunged in on him at speed and made zero attempt to play the ball, injuring him in the process and could leave us without him on Tuesday. Meanwhile Stevenson gets away with just a booking despite deliberately injuring our player?

Think Jamie may have been fortunate with the yellow, he certainly blocked the guy off from going through but cannot think he actually decided to injure him on purpose, Ryan Dow was completely taken out when looking as if he could be through in the second half in similar circumstances. We have had previous experience of that ref & he has been dire every time, players get frustrated & niggles develop between players. Thought we did ok in the match. The ref was again involved in the Morton equalizer we had a blatant handball denied for a pen then the ball went out of play for what was a throw in for us right in front of where we were sitting a Morton player took it & eventually the ball ended up in our goal. Not sure if the same ref is usually in charge for the replay but if so can only hope with it being a school night the refs mam does not let him out to play. Have probably missed our chance with this but you never know although on the BBC Sport page its East Fife v Morton in the next round & we are not mentioned although they do have us leading league 2 although we are 2nd wonder if they still expect a license fee. Janne Lindberg's Laces
No idea of the "blatant handball" you're talking about there. Stevenson's 'tackle' was wild, McAllister twice had Morton players by the neck and got a single yellow card for it, Chris Millar was kicked or pulled by every Peterhead player that got near him second half but nothing was done about it. Ref was appalling both ways though, Millar just threw the ball away whilst arguing with him about a free kick and the ref did nothing about it. None of this makes up for the fact that Morton were dreadful today. No urgency or creativity, again. Why was Iredale not instructed to run at Stevenson all day? Did it once in the first half and we scored. Once Stevenson was booked that was the out ball all day long. We looked much better once Millar was on second half but I'm not sure anyone gets pass marks today apart from McHugh. We really need something to change soon. We were still absolutely dreadful in the second half but the reason we had more of the ball and it became plain to see how toothless we were in trying to break a team down was because Millar's presence actually gave us a coherent defensive shape in midfield which allowed us to dominate possession. In the first half with McAlister's headless chicken act as our holding midfield we were being overrun with Peterhead being the better team because we were a shapeless mess, which all stemmed from McAlister's complete lack of positional discipline. Removing the Derek Young tribute act with his world class pointing at defenders to pick up the runners he's allowed to waltz by him unmarked and putting an actual footballer on the park in Millar was what gave us a semblance of a midfield and the platform to dominate possession in the second half. We were still utterly dreadful with no tactic but moving it out wide, shelling crosses in and hoping for the best, but while we're still dire we're considerably less shit with McAlister off the pitch. Guest TOPFITTER
Be interesting to see if Morton include the “penalty hand-ball” in the highlights ? Had it been awarded it would have killed the tie in Peterhead’s favour! Up ‘till then Morton on top but after the wrong throw-in call they break quickly and decisively and score. After the ‘Tons failure to get the upper hand in second half Peterhead were relatively comfortable given the 2 division gap.Roncone as most Scottish refs tried to hog the limelight and added to the Provincial Lore of Central Belt Bias.I don’t know if Morton are a poor Championship side or Peterhead are capable of 2 Straight promotions but on yesterday’s showing there was nothing between the 2 teams !!! Is Tuesday worth a trip starting at 3,30pm and finishing at 2am, 500 miles and £60 of fuel, depends what BLUE TOON turns up !

That's not really the game I watched. Millar tried to take control of the match, and did coming looking for the ball, but it only left us looking even more unbalanced and disconnected as a team. I saw the game in a similar way to Bob McHugh from what he said in his post-match comments - we started and finished the first half well enough but weren't at the races at all in the second. I thought we should have been ahead in the first 20 minutes, and I thought half time came at a good time for Peterhead, but second half I thought Peterhead were the only team which looked likely to win (and it would have been robbery if we had stolen it at the end).
