jamamafegan
Good game, the standard level of referee controversy, the boys did us proud, you would have enjoyed it.I wouldn’t have enjoyed it at all. I’d feel nothing but utter shame for endorsing Doncaster and co’s colt master plan.
capt_oats
Don Cowie there lads, faking an injury to get a player sent off in a game against a team of teenagers. That's some brass neck.
ropy
What was he receiving treatment for? What did the physio find to do for 2 minutes attending to him? Did he graze his knee? Mbulu shouldn't have pushed him but the rest is embarassing

That's some brass neck. The referee’s looking straight at it. Whatever Cowie’s reaction, the guy’s getting sent off either way. You could argue that it’s harsh, but Cowie’s reaction has nothing to do with the boy getting a red card.

The ref didn't pull him up when he saw the 'barge', he’d given the goal and was heading back to half way. It was the reaction from the County players that got him sent off. He completely shat himself when the likes of Fraser started kicking off claiming there was an elbow and running about pointing at Mbulu. From where I was sitting in the East stand it looked like he even turned to consult his linesman in an absolute panic. Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of shithousery as much as the next person but fucking hell...

DosserDel
Stupid from young Mbulu embarrassing from Cowie. There was a fair bit of gamesmanship from County yesterday trying to unsettle a youth side, Graham in particular was a complete dick with various little antics throughout the entire game. Dancing about in front of the keeper before a free kick, kicking the ball away, miles behind everyone else returning to his own half after the second goal delaying the boys from getting the game going again. Struck me as the type who would be as big a p***k off the field as he is on it. All daft things you see week in, week out, but helluva excessive for senior pro's in a game against some youths that they were surely expected to be comfortable in. Over the piece, even at ten men, the young 'Well were the better and more creative team. Well done to them for another fine performance.

Surely that's what Doncaster & the like want getting youngsters prepared for international level by facing things like this in games. Colt teams should not have been in it n the first place so should learn their lessons from seasoned pros. Hopefully this will be the last year of Colts participation but unlikely as they are still after the Old Firm Colts getting a league place which was what it was all about since the start. well_said
Lost all respect for Ross county after yesterday's shameful antics from a team who resorted to every underhand means to defeat a young team with barely a handful of first team appearances to their credit. It ranged from Brian Graham disgraceful attempt to deliberately inflict an injury on Broque Watson , to the Graham Shinnie lookalike at left back ( may be Stellios , what a p***k he was) and not to mention Don Cowie whose playacting ensured a fellow professional being sent off. Hope you lose in the semi final and you eventually end up back in the highland league . Sheep shagging wankers.

The coaches of Celtic had a different view - that was real football and that was what their young lads needed to experience. That's the point - do you want real competition so young lads really learn or some sort of after you Claude concession for young laddies. If the latter they shouldn't be playing in a real Cup competition.

I think that was the point, the 'professionalism' wasn't needed in such a game. Doesn't excuse Mbulu for giving the referee a decision to make. They need to step up not ask for clubs to take it easy against them

The only thing which is shameful here is choosing to attend this game and endorsing the inclusion of Colt sides in a first team competition. Not as shameful as asking the SPFL to bank roll a loss making competition where over 25% of the clubs in the SPFL have nothing in it.
RiG
I'm no fan of Ro$$ Bounty and whilst it's a bit of a minter reaction from Cowie I'd be asking why that Well player is running into him in the first place? He can easily avoid Cowie but he chooses not to for some bizarre reason.

There is nothing shameful about watching our colt team. Before the ridiculous introduction of the reserve league with afternoon kickoffs I attended most under 20 matches both home and away , it is certainly a lot more entertaining than watching the first team. It is also good to see the progress of these boys like Alan Campbell and David Turnbull in the first team. Look out for Adam Livingstone and Jake hastie definitely stars of the future.
