GordonS Posted November 13, 2018 Share Posted November 13, 2018 I honestly didn't think they had a performance like that in them. They grew in confidence as the match wore on. The hard work was no surprise, but the technique, and the courage to use it under pressure, of Weir, Corsie, Emslie and others was very impressive. Cuthbert's a scurrying wee nightmare for opponents. It's not much more than a year since we got skelped by England, but this team look so much better. Another big step forward tonight. The impact for the World Cup could be huge. I can't see them going into a game against the top seed shiting it, which was a genuine possibility. They'll be believing that they can live at that level.
