Even if it was behind closed doors the fans would still attack the players on their way to the stadium.

And again, both sets of fans have being doing this to the teams for years.

Neutral venue with no fans is the only way to stop any issues.

Your lot are used to holding games with no fans in attendance

Not playing it at all would avoid any issues. Might send an appropriate message.

P. Pérez “Who’s going to guarantee our safety if we were to win in their stadium? We saw the fans before the match, imagine if we were to win. I have a wife and 3 kids, I can’t play football like this. My daughter was crying when she saw me and hugged me”

Pretty sad stuff

Given the World Club Cup starts on the 12th in the UAE, I'd guess somewhere in the middle east?

It was mentioned on Sunday night that Dec 8 in Abu Dhabi was being strongly rumoured even before the game was called off again so you may well be right.

Back in 1934 the North American qualifying for the World Cup got left so late that Mexico and USA both had to travel to Italy and held their playoff in Rome on the Thursday night before the tournament began on the Sunday with a full raft of knockout R1 ties. Mexico lost the playoff and went home immediately, USA were thrashed by Italy in R1 and so weren't far behind them.

Should have it behind closed doors at Central Park for a laugh, early KO so it doesn’t run into the stock cars.

It'd be too intimidating for the players imo

Apart from Tevez. They'd all just assume he was a local.

According to BBC that is indeed the case.

Both sets of supporters will be given an equal allocation of tickets for the match in the Spanish capital.

Good move...

That is fucking mental. Host it in a different country to avoid chaos again, then decide to go back to allowing both sets of fans in.

It will just be full of tourists. There won’t be nearly the same amount of trouble as there would be back in Argentina.
