Someone in fancy dress encouraging children to read? I fail to see a downside.

Aye but the books are modern day adaptations:

Charlie  and the Chocolate Starfish Factory

James and the Giant Penis

George's Marvellous Mincing Medicine

etc

I honestly thought this was taught already?

Mind you I did have a 60 year old Social Education teacher who kept calling people from the LGBTQ+ community "Them" when someone asked him about it during one lesson.

See those kids not judging people by how they chose to dress and / or live their lives. Pity some adults don't have the capacity of a 3yr old.

They're not judging, because they don't even know what it is. But everybody that understands something makes a judgement about it. It's human nature to be judgemental about things, that's how opinions are formed.

This isn't about teaching kids that some people are different. It's about teaching them to be different. Convincing them early that being gay or transgender is "cool" because some adults do it.

They're not judging because it's not relevant to them. Take a 2 year olds toy off them and see if you feel judged.

If you feel the need to judge LGBT people or the life they lead, then you carry on, but please don't think that everyone else is also doing that.

Of course they do. Because we live in a world where everybody is judged on everything. Pretending that LGBT people are beyond judgement, while we still continue to judge people by appearance, social status, class, wealth.... etc is a joke.

Nobody is beyond being judged, regardless of who they are.

It's WHAT you judge them on that matters. If you judge someone on the colour of their skin then yer a racist. If ye judge someone on their sexual orientation yer a homophobe. Homophobe

Then why not just create labels for everybody that we pass judgement on? We can have murderphobes and pedophobes as well. Seeing as it's ok to slam labels on people for judging others.

Comparing homosexuals to murderers and paedophiles as well?

Yer doing great a great job and not appearing like a raging simpleton trying to disguise his homophobia.

Homesexuality used to be considered nearly as bad, then things changed.

Who's to say things won't change again in the future to make it socially acceptable to be a cold blooded killer as well?
