I would still be leaving that squarely at Archibald’s door, but it will be interesting to see if Caldwell survives till the end of the season and beyond... I thought Spittal was about the best player on the park in the first half - carried the ball really well and gave Brad Mckay a lot of problems. He did nothing in the second half though, apart from missing that penalty. Fucking hell, though, a win. It would be pushing it to say we deserved it: Thistle played the better football and had the better chances in the first half, it was much more even in the second, but given the penalty and Fitzpatrick being through on goal in the last minute, we were pretty lucky to come away with the three points. Actually felt kind of sorry for the Thistle supporters behind the goal when Fitzpatrick fluffed that chance so horrifically - they didn't even look surprised, whereas I just assumed that was our 8th draw being sealed. Good performances from Polworth, McCart, Donaldson, Welsh and Ridgers, obviously. Mckay had a few shaky moments and Trafford's touch and distribution were pretty ropey at times; Chalmers didn't do much wrong filling in at left back, but the sooner we have Tremarco back in the team and Chalmers back in midfield the better. Usual anonymous self in the 2nd though.Should definitely have been ahead at half time but created next to nothing after the break. The fact that Ridgers' only save in 90mins was the penalty, tells it's own story.In summary, we are in massive trouble! Looking forward to Falkirk next week ....
