As a team your more than streets ahead at the moment, as a club don't kid yourself on fs

Bless, at least you've found the plucky, underdog fighting spirit that you'll need when playing at Montrose next season.

What a fekin result! Wee Bob is on fire and Iredale was immense. Wish Bob had got his hattrick from the one that hit the post.
Iredale just destroyed whoever was at RB for Thistle.

Elliot, he was dreadful

Aye, he was that.....

Thanks Partick I didn't think anyone could outdo Fawkirk for bottom stop but then again I know nothing about football. I leave all the fact based analysis to our main man who seems to have a free evening tonight.

We'd have won if Doolan was playing.

Must be a tremendous centre half if he was stopping that doing today.

One of those games was when our dickhead of a (then)  manager was treating the league cup qualifiers with utter contempt to allow him to experiment with lineups, tactics and substitutions, and another kicked off maybe 17 hours after when said dickhead  walked out on the club after being tapped up.

And yet here we are, six goals to four ahead on aggregate despite all of that.

Facts, not fiction.

Sorry - what exactly was your point, caller?

Christ, pick the bones out of that...

First fifteen looked like a classic soft-touch Morton encourage a team with no confidence into the game (couldn't keep it, don't win second balls), but we hadn't figured on Gary 'Rinus Michels' Caldwell... playing a narrow 1-3 midfield against a Morton team that, after Tuesday, were always going to get their width from wing-backs... Don't blame Elliot (who is atrocious), blame Caldwell, who hung Slater out to dry having to come over and chase -- and not catch -- Iredale. Freedom of the left-hand side and from then on it was the Tidser and Shug show.  Then Caldwell, possibly to emphasize that it's all the players' fault, changes the personnel, but not the shape; he'd get laughed at in the Juniors. (Compare and contrast the league game at Firhill, when Archibald -- who you've all decided was murder -- made a point of pulling our middle three from side to side all day, to the point where Tidser was blowing out his arse and had to be subbed; today, he played where he wanted to be and absolutely bossed it.)

I'm on my fifth cycle of 'McShug will come good for us'... and it's here, he has. Quality of finishing far ahead of most in this league, just needs to be up in a two, not on his own. Johansson, from earlier selections and interviews, is clearly desperate to have two up top.  3-5-2, probably by accident, looks like the way to get it with these players (and still get the best out of Tidser). Johnstone and McHugh... yes please.

Jai should sign for Dumbarton in January: increasingly clear that he was being remote controlled by the Duff.

I came away from Firhill a couple of months ago thinking 'they've got better players than us, they'll be fine. Maybe even sign a right-back and get O'Ware fit and challenge'.  Today? My f**k, you're in trouble. Back four is atrocious. Your new manager, on that evidence, is a clown. If, as some of your lot are saying, Erskine and Doolan are on the way down... well, down it might very well be.

In sum: Worse than Falkirk. Discuss.
