Wages Day

Wastecoatwilly believes Celtic have a revolutionary way of running their club that no other club in the world has.

Anything he says is to be laughed at for the steaming nonsense it is.

I see the usual suspects are still looking for keyser soze.
The £60m had a day off at rugby park and tynecastle so far this season plus the £60m at st mirren was off colour.
When sevco v killie drew 1-1 and the tarts v hibs drew 0-0 it's the £60m effecting the result.
There is no equality in football, if every team got paid minimum wage in Scotland with only a win bonus Celtic would still win the league.

Put another way, if Real Madrid paid Hibs level of wages they would have won all those European Cups?

I reckon the last time Real Madrid paid their squad what Hibs are currently earning, they won the first 5 of the fucking things in a row.

That's interesting using a pay check manager who should be sacked.

He will be sacked soon, 8th in the EPL is unacceptable for a team with Man Utd's budget. Huddersfield and Brighton on the other hand would be thrilled to be sitting 8th given their resources because finances dictate a club's expectations and potential, a reality everyone seems to grasp except you.

When you have 100 million to spend on a squad like Huddersfield and Brighton have,i think it goes beyond thrilled, every manager in the EPL is a pay check man.

The sheer scale of the TV money in England has actually produced a levelling of the playing field. The relatively even distribution of TV Cash evens out the massive differences in commercial and matchday income.

In England with a cunning manager and a bit of luck you could theoretically operate a top flight team with no supporters at all. Wigan practically did this for a few years

Leicester's 2016 "Giant Killing" Premiership win was impressive given that they had a wage bill of 34% of the league's biggest payers (Man United £232M)

But Rangers are the second richest team in this league and would need another 3 million to even get to 34% of Celtic's expenditure

Even the lowest spenders that season (Watford) were able to spend a quarter of United's bill. Nobody outside of Rangers is within 25% of what Celtic spend

Ok it's easy to look at facts and figures but lets look at reality, the tarts have started the season well Celtic not so well both teams have suffered from injuries.
The big question is can the tarts emulate their first 11 games is it possible?
If it is, the tarts would be sitting on 78 points with 5 games to go title challengers.
Celtic will play 12 to 15 more games than the tarts this season with Europe and cup games stretching their resources.
These 12 to 15 more games is the only reason Celtic players should be paid more.

Because Celtic would still be able to pay multi million pound transfer fees, signing on fees and win bonuses?
