Could there be another Falklands war?

I'm sure May and her gov/t will manage to cobble some kind of compromise/fudge Brexit deal by March 29th, but if she doesn't and we end up with no deal, will the Argies invade the Falklands again?

I suspect that if it did happen the UK will just turn a blind eye this time.

Lot of pish.

1) The UK retains a veto on the UN so any diplomatic moves on that front wouldn't get anywhere

2) Militarily, Argentina is a shambles. The previous socialist government, worried about a coup, ripped the armed forces to the bone. One of their ships sank at it's mooring due to neglect -

They lost a sub last year due to rumoured poor maintenance. More - https://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/argentina-ceased-capable-military-force/

3) Argentina is an economic basket case due to the aforementioned socialist government, which hasn't enamoured them to all the companies and countries they ripped off.

So they have no hope diplomatically, militarily or financially.

I recall Michael Howard saying something about war with Spain because of Gibraltar.

The Argentinians speak Spanish so there is an obvious comparison there.
We wouldn't have to trek all the way down to the South Atlantic.
.. and now that Spain seem to be better at football than Argentina - it makes sense.

At the same time, we would still like to maintain good relationship regarding security issues, pursuit of fugitives of justice and that sort of thing.

.. oh and I do like going there for my holidays.

To avoid a war and deaths, Argentina should play England at football in a neutral venue.

I say England because none of the other nations give a shit.

Cue a farming advert about kids only being good enough to play for Port Stanley.

Doubt it, even with the British military being the smallest it's been since Napoleon it would see Argentina off again, Argentina knows that.

If they were to do it then May would absolutely jump at the chance to have a Falklands mk2.
