Juniors In At Tier 6

...and there are plenty of top west region junior clubs that should be able to make a move for entry level licensing and Scottish Cup entry as the SJFA is now committed to the pyramid. Auchinleck Talbot had everything in place by all accounts around the same time Kelty did in the east only to be told they had to move to the SoS league. Dipple burn and Isabel Goudie who I hope are doing well these days posted about that at length on here.

With Clydebank planning to go the EoS they'd be planning to get a licence. Auchinleck Talbot were meant to be looking at the process until they were told to join the SoS. BSC got licenced while playing at Maryhill's ground, so that part of the licencing criteria is covered for them.

There's a few familiar names that have acheived the highest rank in the SFA's Quality Mark Accreditation Scheme.

Plus plenty of others at lower levels. Look at how Blackburn United and Dalkeith Thistle went straight to applying for a licence once they were accepted in to the East of Scotland League. It'll require some work, but it's by no means an impossible task.

The lure off the juniors is massive .still getting a huge imput from people associated with clubs outside junior football . STILL THE BIGGEST SHOW IN NON LEAGUE SCOTLAND .

BTW .enjoy the cup final alan .great achievement in first year of SENIOR football .

It really isn't you do realise that you have to adopt the rules we do the Joonyur rules won't exist anymore so you'd be aswell moving over as Pumpherston bathgate and dale don't want to be in super league so surely you should all come into eosfl and Tayside and if u like perth and potentially north Fife have their own region.

Usual battle of the blazers stuff. What was noteworthy is that the EoS have told their members that the licensing embargo has been lifted. If the SJFA's version of events is accurate there is no obvious reason why that doesn't apply to junior clubs at this point.

Surely thats because the EoS clubs are already in the pyramid and can be promoted to the LL at the end of this season whilst there isnt a Junior club that could go into tier 5 come May.  So why for example licence Auchinleck of Clydebank at this point if they arent going anywhere and there are teams in the three East conferences that could move up.

Would for example Maybole or Newmains aim for a licence this season just to get into the first preliminary round of the Scottish Cup?

If the East Juniors goes in at tier 6 then its a far easier route to the LL playoff - so why would Pumpherston, Bathgate or Armadale move?

No wonder many people don’t quite fancy the idea of a pyramid when we listen to your patronising “Joonyur” shite.  You forget yer auld arse pretty quickly up in Falkirk.

Not really in enjoyed my time in the juniors loved every minute but it's time for joined up thinking what's the point in teams from same areason playing in two leagues. If it's easier why did they refuse promotion ando travel to north Fife and Tayside every week. The way it's looking Dunbar at 1 hr 5 mins from falkirk being the furthest journey. Tayside were not far off 1 hr 30 mins. There's the logic to use. We play the same game and next year whether you are junior or not you will be playang by sfa rules.

How's it easier they refused promotion. Next year it's looking like Dunbar 1 hr 5 mins furthest we will travel instead if we had listened and stayed 1 hr 30 mins every week. Whitburn and Fauldhouse must be about crippled by that. There is no logic to stay because even if you won that league they'd still need to see off eosfl wr sjfa and sosfl champions

Also to point out I like whitburn and Armadale as clubs enjoyed visiting but if we play them in the Kings cup instead of Fife and Lothians is it any different it's just a name

All of the good teams in the East are in the EOS ergo staying in the East "Junior" league makes more sense as you have an easier path to the LL playoff - doesnt matter if they refused promotion or not last season, there wasnt an LL carrot at the end of the stick then. There is now.

Pumpherston etal would be daft to move - stay and you really only have a couple of Dundee teams between the Lothians teams and the play offs, move and you have Bonnyrigg, Linlithgow, Bo'ness, Dundonald, Penicuick, Jeanfield and yes even Camelon standing in your way - you could be in the EOS and not see sight nor sound of an LL playoff for a decade or more whilst in the East "junior" league you'd be looking at challening every year if one of the better Lothian teams.

Unless their is a mandated move I cant see clubs moving.

I'm not even sure that Pumpherston will accept promotion to a Tayside dominated Superleague next season where their only local games (if they don't get relegated) are Fauldhouse and Whitburn. Bathgate also refused Superleague in preference to the South, hence why Whitburn and Kirrie are in there instead.  None of these clubs are going to be challenging for a LL place anytime soon.

It's a shambles, getting all Lothians and Fife sides together for next season needs to be a priority and a non-negotiable condition of allowing the West into the Pyramid.

Only thing is I wouldn't be to worried if Tayside is going to be lowland whether Fife teams wanted to play with them even st andrews Dundonald if they prefer to play with Tayside then that could be north Fife and tayside

Burnie I know you massively object to the possibilty of 2 organisations at Level 6 in the same geographical area.

However assuming the East Region Juniors were absorbed/amalgamated with the EOS, you surely would have no real argument with the "boundary" being shifted to Junior extremities ?

This would be Brechin vics as the most northerly point.

As the lower reaches of the "new expanded EOS" would surely be geographical anyway ?

Brings in to question how they'd define the border between the Highland and Lowland Leagues. Montrose Roselea in the North Region but geographically they're south of Brechin. So you can't getaway with the straight line anymore.

Armadale have never declined promotion to the super league.
