He was most recently an employee of Dumbarton Football Club. Surprised you missed that with your clubs supporters obsession with him

He was attending a gathering of the Ibrox faithful Bob. He was talking about Rangers to Rangers fans following his roles as an ex-Rangers player, coach and caretaker manager.  Not sure that's my obsession tbh. Doubt he was talking about the famous Dumbarton an awful lot.

When Scotland were routinely qualifying for major tournaments...

Exactly.

The problem with the Scotch is that we have become increasingly less #staunch.

Start with dropping the Celtic players and get Halliday, Jack and Alex Rae as a midfield 3. We'd qualify no bother.

I was restricting myself to living religious heads, but feel free to be even more inclusive.

Oh you must or it'll be some form of ist or ism if you don't.

I just think it's an unusual caveat.  Would you have the expectation that poor Ian Durrant would have to - in the interests of balance - to scream "f**k the Dalai Lama" into a microphone in front of a crowd of bemused knuckled draggers?

Given Ian Durrant's a practicing Buddhist*, I'd have thought that highly unlikely.

*He's not a practicing Buddhist.
