I think he's a socialist plant to take exorbitant amounts of cash out the pockets of well healed city c***s. Power to him.

Defending absolutely everything the SNP have done, including some horrendous policies and some reprehensible individuals because you want independence and care about absolutely nothing else in life to the point you won't hear a word of criticism against them.

The current go-to excuse seems to be "But the SNP is a broad church!"  A broad church is fine but there's no need to be so broad that it includes absolute morons.

I try not to talk about politics as it's become very toxic in the past few years and a decent debate is replaced with shit flinging. One thing that sends me into a seething mess whenever a party are called out is the go-to move of blaming someone else.

The Tories are still blaming Labour; Boris loves to use that one. And the SNP blame Westminster.

I don't doubt there is a bit of truth to it but are they trying to kid on they weren't aware of it before taking power? You wouldn't hear them saying "Aye, don't bother voting for us. We're definitely a good Party but there's no danger we can sort out the mess Labour/Westminster have left so you're wasting your time on us". Just get fucking on with it.

Thinking that people can't care about one thing whilst talking about another...but also failing to realise the link between "the planet burning up" and people making completely unnecessary journeys in their fossil fuel burning vehicle. A moron baguette.

If people want some nice examples of snobbery and hatred they should head over to the Insulate Britain thread.

Thanks to the actions of world governments, our planet is burning up but what really enrages Joe Public is Mrs Miggins dropping off her kid at school before heading off to work.

What a bunch we humans are......

I’ve come to essentially hate all politicians of all parties recently. Listening to them speak makes me furious, as regardless of who they are, every single one of them will refuse to accept they have made a mistake, answer a question properly or give an answer that doesn’t blame another party/politician. Utter c***s every one of them.

People who treat supporting political parties like supporting their football team.  It's become particularly prevalent over the last decade and it does my head in.  The fact that support for parties should always remain massively conditional seems completely lost to some people.

I can understand where it comes from but I've always found people who espouse comments like some of the above a bit deluded tbh. People who claim all politicians are the same, or that they've no time for any of them, or that they don't support a party that doesn't cater to every one of their exact opinions all the time. I'm not saying they're wrong per se but I don't really get how anyone's supposed to change anything if we're all just atomised individuals as opposed to accepting being part of a coalition. Staying above the fray is all well and good but if the outcome is just spending your life moaning about it on P&B then is that really preferable to getting your hands dirty in the business of politics? Just my tuppence worth - I suppose everyone has their own 'red lines' etc.

They're all the same in the sense that they'd shit on you as soon as look at you. I vote for the Party I think are a slightly less bunch of c***s.* But even the Party I vote for can seriously piss me off. I'm not so rose tinted specs that I can't see past them though, which is the case for a lot of folk and is the point someone made earlier.

* Though that's probably not accurate right now tbh. I vote SNP just now purely because they are the best chance we have of getting rid of the Tories.
