NJ2
I was working in a house in Dunfermline a while back where the guys dog was barking and generally getting a bit excited... He shouts at said dog... 'Right John, through the kitchen, that's enough' His dog was called John....!! I found that much funnier than I should have really As Frank Sinatra once sang... 'That's Fife..'Animals with ordinary human names will never not be funny, at least to me.

stevieKTID
Animals with ordinary human names will never not be funny, at least to me. I used to walk a dog called Mike, on the other side of the pet name spectrum i now walk one called Spaghetti, it always feels a bit weird shouting "Spaghetti" in the park

Pumpkin Escobar
Had a number of dogs over the years. Always wanted to name one of them Dave. Mrs E vetoed the suggestion on each and every occasion.

I know of a cat called Walter. I once got a hire in the taxi. Arrived at the address and a half pished woman gets in the back, leaving the door ajar. After a couple of minutes she starts shouting " Steven ... Steven.., Steven will you fucking hurry up, the drivers no' got all night". I'm sitting there awaiting the arrival of an equally pished guy to join her, when Steven the fuckin King Charles Spaniel bounds out the gate and jumps on her lap.!! People calling their pets human names and talking to them like a person is equally as weird as it is funny tbh.
