19QOS19
As bad as we were at TFS? Away ye go. Well you managed 2 shots on target rather than 0, so I suppose I'm wrong. I can't say I saw much improvement compared to the last time I saw Falkirk but you'll see them more than me so I won't argue.

queenslad
Sometimes think I am at different matches to others! First half we were shocking at the back - Falkirk's option was to continually lob the ball forward toward the front two who caused us problems with the way they managed to get their bodies in front of the Queens defenders. Several times they put in telling crosses to back post (Mercer) and we failed to convincing deal with them. A better team would have had us behind. Their long throws down the right onto the penalty spot always caused panic - but some how we survived. Falkirk had better of first half, came out to attack Queens and it took Queens 15min to get a passing game going. Oh and Martin's kick out's - everybody down right and he plays it down the middle where there is no one. Dobbie took a bad talk from a player who seemed to be out to slow him down, took another then won his penalty. No idea why rebound didn't count as ball spun away from keeper and no way did he have it under control. Queens started better second half and after the two quick goals Falkirk were a well beaten team, devoid of ideas. Queens saw the last 35mins out well
QosLoyal
Strange game. Wasnt especially entertaining yet we could ultimately have won by at least five. We were very average first half but missed a penalty and Mitchell made another good save from Stirling. Falkirk actually competed well first half. While it was two teams largely punting it they possibly offered more than us. Haber was a handful without actually ever looking threatening. He should have scored with a header. Falkirk obviously deliberately targetted Dobbie too. Paton's early kick at his knee was pretty cynical. Second half we were better. Doyle's header from Stirling's cross was far too easy though. The defence was posted missing. Our second was good football from us and a fine finish from Marshall. Dobbie then nicked the ball away from Muirhead and might have broken for a 3rd in 5 mins. He later should have squared to Dykes for a tap in but went for goal instead. Good save from Mitchell but the square ball was the better option. And Dobbie hit the bar too later on when he should have scored. Todd might also have gone for goal from just inside the half when Mitchell gave it straight too him and was caught 30 yards from goal. Falkirk offered very little second half though Irving did hit the bar late on (Martin may have tipped it on to the bar, not sure). We do miss Harkins ability to unlock a packed defence but any win is a good win. We are up to 4th will likely go 3rd if we win on Tuesday. We've had many worse days.Any news on how long Harkins is out for?

Queens saw the last 35mins out well I must agree that from crosses from the right Mercer seems incapable of heading the ball. Doyle, Fordyce, Semple, Marshall is without doubt our strongest back four. That said, two clean sheets is hard to argue with. In the playoffs after 10 games is an excellent return. Especially when so many experts ( Barry Ferguson) had us in the bottom 3.
vikingTON
'Game of two halves' would suggest Falkirk were decent in one of them.Falkirk fans also viewed their defeat last week as only a partial pumping as they’d never have conceded at all had their goalkeeper not got himself sent off for flattening a player who was, err, about to roll the ball into an empty net anyway. This is the level of sheer desperation that keeps them going right now.
19QOS19
I wasn't convinced with our defending either at times but I've learnt from last week that you can't question the defending if we keep a clean sheet.
football maniac
Paul Paton really is as bad as Falkirk fans say he was honking. Was very impressed with Todd today. Used the ball brilliantly and beat his man time and again.

A better team then Falkirk would have taken something from today. Although it is equally possible we would have stepped up our game if required. We’re a strange side this season, I don’t fully know what to make of us. Our second goal today was a great counter attacking move but a few seconds before it hit the net we were making a real mess of clearing our lines at the other end of the pitch. Yes, there were a few panicky failed swings at getting it clear and it took a great touch from Dobbie to turn it into an attack when the ball eventually came out. Dobbie's run into space and poor goalkeeping, then helped Marshall to score. A feature of today was defenders wanting far too long on the ball. Marshall and Mercer were both guilty of taking forever while everyone shouted 'Man on'.

Used the ball brilliantly and beat his man time and again. Speaking of Paton. What passes as dissent now? He was penalised today and instantly screamed at the ref to f**k off. I couldn't understand why it wasn't a yellow card. As fans we all get frustrated with the officials but the lack of respect shown by players is appalling at times. It's certainly an area where we are very far behind other sports. I can't think of any other sport where officials receive such abuse from the athletes. queenslad
How many games has Dykes played for Queens? A few around me were surprised when the answer was 100. Doesn't seem to have been around Palmerston that long
