How many relegated then, was it two?

If so Linlithgow in 3rd were 3 points from 2nd, 9 points from the title and 5 points from relegation. They lost more games (joint most in the league) and scored fewer goals than Forfar West End, who went down, and their goal difference was only 1 better. That is one seriously tight league!

Forfar and Tayport went down.

Kelty were top of the league  as late as February 27th (although Bonnyrigg had two games in hand). Finished with only eight points from hast eight games. After games played on 28th Feb the Bonnyrigg had played 12 and had 23 points, ninth place hill of Beath had played same amount of games with 15 points.

So there's Junior/Welfare/Amateuer/Saturday/Sunday/Summer/Winter that's a right gordian knot to merge into a unified structure.

Yes, a brand new topic, after this one reaches its conclusion.

Another 1,000+ posts, and no 'retirement' for burnie_man  and co !

For benefit of those who don't frequent the junior forum:

http://slfl.co.uk/west-of-scotland-league-update/

The latest update regarding the West of Scotland League

Following the passing of the date for clubs to note an interest in the proposed WoSFL, we can confirm that a total of 48 clubs from all grades have submitted emails thus far, asking to be kept informed of further developments. Clubs who have not noted their interest yet are still welcome to contact George Fraser geo_fraser @hotmail.co.uk to do so. This also does not preclude clubs from applying once more information is released.

We will now formalise the process and will contact all clubs concerned with further details.

48 clubs ‘from all grades’.  So amateur, junior and senior (SoS ? ) then.

Correct. No idea however on how the numbers breakdown. Guess would be:

Junior:38

SOS: 6

Other (ammies/youth): 4

The non junior applicants may scupper the West Juniors proposal to form their own mongrel league of a senior premier division and junior championship and below divisions. How would they be incorporated ? And could you force clubs who wish to be senior to become  junior 😐                                                    Come to that, ambitious clubs like Arthurlie, Darvel and Maryhill who have expressed an interest in being senior would all be forced to remain junior.

As many as 10 non-WJFA applicants will kill the WJFA's plan (if it was ever alive). That's quite a large amount of clubs to accommodate and they can't just all be shoved into tier 9.
