Pyramid 2019/2020

The first paragraph is a tragic idea if its what the SFA go through with.Having teams in the same pyramid respond to different governing bodies re:discipline etc is beyond farcical. Also two feeders covering the same geographical area is farcical. It screws over the clubs who've joined the EOS already and indeed long time EOS members. East Juniors had their chance and didn't take it. Any new east clubs wanting in to the pyramid should be starting at the lowest level of the EOS. Theres also the small issue of Tayside clubs being outwith EOS and LL territory.

All this because people hold onto an archaic notion that being a certain grade makes them unique versus other non-league clubs.

Linlithgow, Bo'ness, Camelon, Broxburn, Blackburn in one Pyramid feeder, Fauldhouse, Whitburn, Bathgate Armadale, Livingston in another.

Dundonald, Hill of Beath, Burntisland, Inverkeithing, Crossgates, St.Andrews, Jeanfield in one feeder, Tayport, Glenrothes, Rosyth, Lochgelly, Lochore, Kinnoul in another.

It's all laughably insane if this happens and as you say, Tayside raises questions but no answers.

Well clearly there isn't clarity as different people on the PWG have a different interpretation on that, so I wouldn't hang your hat on it. As you will have seen, the EoS's position hasn't changed, they are the access route to the Pyramid in the East as the existing Senior league, it clearly isn't resolved.

Are Dundonald happy with a situation where the Lothians and Fife continue along divided lines as opposed to all playing in the same league structure? wouldn't you agree that having two governing bodies covering the same area would be ludicrous?

Oh a will defo hang my hat on it as the clarification came from the top of the tree.

Personally, a don’t thing it’s ideal but it is what it is and maybe a start to a unified structure in the years to come.

The two governing bodies in the east unifying at some point should be the aim but a won’t hold ma breath on that and it’s clear the sfa won’t make any demands on this.

Let’s also be honest this will allow all junior clubs the possibility to get licenced also and if this decision/clarification was made 6 months ago then we wouldn’t be in the transition period we are in now.

But as a said we are where we are and we now move forward under a clear structure.

In which case it is no solution at all and all EoS clubs, particularly those who recently placed their faith in the SFA/EoS, need to start asking serious questions.  That said, the above email doesn't address the Tayside question, and my faith in Maxwell understanding the different between Tayside and East Region isn't great.

Surely the EOS and its members can not be okay with this. If I was a supporter of an EOS club I'd want my club and association to raise high hell about this.

For me the reference to tayside league is terminology by the eosl nobody else.

Its clear from the chief execs email that tier 6 for the juniors is the top leagues as current ie east and west super league.

There is no Tayside question as there is no Tayside association. My understanding is should Lochee United obtain a licence win through to the play offs and win the play off we would go into the LL.

Yip, it definitely reads that way.  Absolute clarity is required and quickly, there's more than a few EoS clubs who will be far from happy with this.

Dundee is above the dividing line for LL/HL, has it been changed?

Thanks for sharing source info, really appreciated.

The content is an utter disgrace. Putting a hugely weakened and inferior ERSJFA alongside the EOSFL on overlapping territory, with the majority of its better members being north of the LL line anyway, is the kind of shambolic nonsense for which our governing body has become renowned.

Bonnyrigg v Thornton Hibs in a play-off final? Idiocy.

Four leagues competing for one promotion spot? Piss poor.

The EOSFL and the LL ought to hold the line and say no to this. It's demented. You just know these haufwits think it's some sort of interim measure when it's crystal clear it'll be permanent.

The reason there's even a discussion about all this is because the existing EOS played a blinder in appealing to the East Juniors. They ought to be given the respect they've earned.

This.   As the existing Senior league in the East, they appear to be getting hung out to dry.

The current dividing line is more or less scrapped .....I think you can see that from the email. Why are you so upset ? You have got what you wanted for your club..moved to the EoS  you will get the licence then all you require is a team to get you to the SPLF after all there is no ceiling to stop you now.

Strange you should think that a disgrace. The EoS was never a strong association until the junior clubs moved over. After all you were a very successful club within the juniors why have this attitude when you are only a few months into your life in the EoS.

Yes I am aware of that, the minutes aren’t clear due to the reference to tayside league.  It’s not a tayside league it’s the current east super league.  Have had clarification on it this afternoon.

There will soon be a clear communication from the sfa am sure.

A don’t have any issue with it in all honesty and as a said it’s good to be resolved and we move forward.

There's no way ersjfa will be in pyramid

Where does it say in that email that the dividing line is scrapped? It is there to provide clarity for the SPFL.

As for reasons why this solution is ludicrous, read previois posts
