Would the pub team juniors (Linlithgow, Bo'ness, Sauchie )be allowed in anyway if the real Linlithgow,Bo'ness,Sauchie are still in EOS set up next season?

Doubt it - sure @HibeeJibee has said that if Stirling Uni were relegated from the LL then the reserve team would have to pull out of the EoS

Maybe go away and look at how that was actually decided before throwing teams around all over the shop like you are messing with your Roy of the Rovers League Ladders.

Yes the same reason they needed to have 18 teams in each side of the draw.

Maybe we shouldn't bother and we will just be like the juniors in 20 years reluctant to change and it sounds like it's starting to set in already

A premier -16 teams (3 up 3 down)
league 1 - 15 teams (3up 3 down)
league 2 - 12 plus any new teams joining eos (3up)

League 1 made up from top 6 of both conferences and relegated premier teams * could add a 16th team to even the games out depending how many joined the eos next season

The amount of cup games will pad out the season like this year

I would be raging if I was the shippy etc who have spent a long time in the eos to have a junior team just jump right above them

Were ye aye? 😄

It could be regionalised with enough teams in (west / East / South) but starting at the bottom tier.

Tayport, Thornton(???), Fauldhouse, Pumpherston and Whitburn jumping a division or two isn't likely to happen.

Theyd likely be allowed in just wouldnt be able to be at the same level

HJ's point appears to be that you can't have a reserve team in the EoS, if you have a first team in it. That's only open to LL and SPFL clubs. Syngenta are clearly a fully separate club from Dunipace so no problem there. Less obviously that appears to probably be the case in Linlithgow and Bo'ness despite the similar names that are being used. Not sure about Sauchie.

the two Bo'ness clubs are definatley linked if you look at social media & websites etc. Also unsure of how linked the Lithgae & Sauchie CFC's are

Current rules mean 1 club cannot have 2+ teams in EOSL... so as you say if Stirling Uni had a terrible season and got relegated to EOS Premier they couldn't keep side in EOS First Division as well. In theory they could find a way around it by forming "Stirling Students FC" or whatever with different committee members, but they would have to apply for membership like a new club. They would also have to release and resign players or only use them as trialists, not just move them around freely, but that's already the case with clubs running reserve teams in the Junior and Amateur grades. It's not entirely a new phenomenon... Spartans ran a reserve team in the old East Juniors for some years.

There is nothing stopping a place or ground from having more than 1 club. There are many clubs in Edinburgh, 2 in Perth, and until recently LTHV/Tynecastle shared Saughton Enclosure.

I always feel it's a bit unfair to cite Stirling Uni like this - they have never flirted with relegation from LL - but they illustrate it well being a singular anomaly, having kept-up their membership when LL began.

The complication in Bo'ness is that Newtown Park belongs to the people of Bo'ness and is run through a not for profit association rather than by the EoS Bo'ness United club. That meant there was nothing Bo'ness United could do to stop an amateur club called Linlithgow Thistle (that had been run to a significant extent by people from Bo'ness) from moving in and setting up shop as a Bo'ness junior club, if the SJFA accepted them into membership. Happy to be corrected on this but my understanding is that although it is being made to look from the outside like it is all one big happy Bo'ness United family, they are two separate clubs.

When was the last PWG meeting? There doesn't seem to be any real progress for over a year. It can't be that difficult to set up a West of Scotland league. If the Juniors don't want to move en masse then set up a WofS league and asked for applications.  Guaranteed some Juniors will apply and the rest can be filled by other amatuer leagues, like the Caledonian with  teams like Glasgow and Strathclyde uni
