Nobody gets a say in the matter. The SFA could invoke the same rule that the Northern Irish FA did with Lafferty. It would be unfair and counter-productive, but they could choose to do it. France threatened to do the same with someone (Florent Malouda?) when he wanted to retire from international football a few years ago.
sjc
Taking the players families hostage at gunpoint might "encourage" a few more to turn up. Perhaps a severed finger along with a ransom note on the day of the game to "motivate" them might even bring about 3points......

However, he has played there for Scotland previously so in the event of a back 3/5 I wouldn't be surprised to see him there again. Either that, or we can flog Alan Hutton until he returns to the vaterland.

Doubt Hutton will do the same for us. Anyways if anyone's gonna play at RWB I'd imagine it'd be Paterson who has a fair amount of experience at RB or RWB in Scotland even if Warnock is playing him as midfielder/striker now
accies1874
Ryan Jack's out now too. Has to be Tierney at RB, or David Gray, or Ross Millen, or Richard Tait, or Ziggy Gordon, or Declan Gallagher, or Steven Whittaker.
accies1874
Devlin's also a doubt.
the snudge
Islam Feruz is going to be playing right back at this rate.
EdinburghLivi
Craig Halkett surely inbound.
Rodhull
At this stage if guys like Hanley and Cooper still aren't getting called up something must be going on. Would guess McLeish will call up Hendry if Devlin is a doubt.
ayrshire_nomad
Is there a record for the highest number of call offs?
Ludo*1
I'd take Cammy Kerr before Richard Foster, but that's not a sight I'd want to see either. He's nowhere near the required level.

Londonwell
Say what you want about WGS but the players at least turned up. There must be something going on behind the scenes.

Gordopolis
I can see Shittaker getting called up as a Jack replacement. If Devlin's out we should surely call up Hanley.
DrewDon
Hanley is injured and hasn't played for Norwich since the beginning of September.
RandomGuy.
You'd think McLeish would take the hint eventually, this must be a record amount of call offs, to the point where someone he called up two days ago has pulled out with an injury he sustained before being called up.
