Sure we've had worse individual line-ups for pointless friendlies etc, but as an actual pool of players to choose from it is just awful. Lacking in any quality and so unbalanced. Our only top class player doesn't even play in his own position. No right-backs who are anywhere near the level required, no decent centre backs, pointless midfielders, and no strikers who are anywhere near the standard required. Even 10 years ago when we still weren't qualifying most of these guys wouldn't even be near the squad. It shows how bad we are now that people get excited about guys like McGinn. Add to that the appointment of a manager who is clearly losing his faculties, and it is a toxic mix.It really isn’t there has been far worse squads than this. Are they ever held accountable for the standard of the Scottish National Team. Wales and the Irish are now pissing themselves at Scotland. England always have... We were getting destroyed down the right hand side from the start, O'Donnell well off the Intl pace. Mcleish should've went to a back 4 and 4 man midfield but he's too useless to spot anything.
