Lex Posted October 20, 2018 Share Posted October 20, 2018 HT 1-0Quite a strange game. Plenty of running and effort but not been any clear cut chances for either team. Our goal wasn’t a chance, one of those glorious free kicks crossed in from out wide that is missed by everyone and bounces in.Thought Willock has been our best player. He’s been real injection of energy in the middle of the park. Killie haven’t offered much, Baird and Ferdinand both been solid at the back.Maybe a win coming? It was an even first half separated by a freak goal and Killie were much better second half. Wasn’t sure if their second was over the line, but we can’t be giving free headers 6 yards out and expecting not to concede. Our main problem is we aren’t any good going forward, at the back or tactically. We also don’t look interested. We weren’t any good under Stubbs, but remarkably we have managed to get worse since he left. Stubbs drew at Rugby Park in our first competitive game of the season, and he actually won a league game, oh for those halycon days. He returned more points from his 4 league games than Oran has from his 5. Now we have lost 4 on the spin under Kearney, the only time we he didn’t lose was against a team who had 10 men for an hour, where we managed to scrape a 0-0. If that was under Stubbs we’d have been skelped. The difference between that performance and the one at Tynecastle is pretty evident. The first goal we had a warning just a couple mins before it and had been leaving Power free at every corner, it was only a matter of time. Losing Ferdinand at half time didn’t help one bit.
