Saints have been second best by a long way in their three games against Rangers, Celtic and Hearts over the past week, so a job on his hands for Tommy Wright to convince his players they can go out there and compete.

Would expect a fairly routine Celtic win.

Without wishing to open a can of worms, I think we'll attack more than the cup tie, if it backfires there's less to lose.

Absolutely no doubt that one of Craig or Davidson will come into the centre of the park, if not both. Swanson will surely replace Kennedy.

Celtic will win.

More aerial presence for defending set pieces, more players who can carry the ball and cause Celtic a problem, and more of our old guard who know how to battle to a result against better teams...   brings me to this random selection:

                               Clark

Shaughnessy  Kerr  Anderson  Foster

 Wright  Davidson Craig  Swanson

                             Alston

                             Watt

It won't be, but I think there may be a couple of changes from Tynecastle.  It'll possibly be Spoony ahead of Swanson and I expect the back 4 the same as it's been the past month or two.

Excitement for this game is palpable judging by this thread.

Clark

Foster Kerr Shaughnessy Tanser

Wright Callachan Alston Craig

Swanson

Watt

We can easily flit between the 4-5-1 and 4-4-1-1 with that team line just by moving Craig in and Swanson to the left. Plenty of cover for the full backs with those players and hopefully some attacking impetus in there too.

I reckon we'll see Wotherspoon come in somewhere - probably in place of Swanson. I hope we show more ambition in this game but I reckon it'll just be defending the box again.

I've not even decided if I'm going yet tbh, £28 and an almost inevitable pumping, plus the hassle getting a ticket will likely end up being.

I've been offered free hospitality and I'm still not sure if I want to go.

I might still be on it in another city though, them's the breaks I suppose.

I'm now going, so it's certain that we'll lose.

I'm utterly fucking deluded though, so by half two on Sunday I'll be sticking a fiver on Saints to win, and by half three I'll be predicting a 2-0 win.

So aye, 2-0 Saints, Scougall hat trick.

Scott Brown officially ruled out, a boost as despite him being a relatively poor footballer, his mere presence seems to psyche out players and officials. Mulumbu is a clear downgrade.

Funny looking at Celtics squad btw, it's not hard to understand why they're struggling when you see the likes of Bain, Hendry, Mulumbu and Christie in their line up.
