Hearts (League leaders) v Celtic (also rans)

Celtic have scored 10 goals in their last two league games but before that they were only scoring a goal a game. A return to that form would be good.

We need to try to bully them in midfield, they will not like that with no Broony to protect them. We need to put the ball in the box, even though they don't concede too many they look weak in the centre of defence when Boyata is out.

We beat Celtic last time but Brendan put out a weakened team. This time he's taking the game seriously but we can still get a result.

Hearts vs AEK Athens 2006

Well remembered. Was at the Ferenvaros (?) game but it was mid-20s IIRC. Am glad game is at Murrayfield but half-full it isn't any great shakes either.

Considering whether to drive through or get a train full of Celtic fans in order to have a beer.

Stupid question, the match day experience is always superior after a couple of beers.

I'll go from predicting a modest 1-0 win to us right now but that'll be a good 4-0 or 5-0 prediction after a few pints of liquid confidence.

I hate seeing ball-to-hand penalties given. But in fairness to Euan Norris, the ball (accidentally) hit two Celtic players' hands and that's why he probably felt the need to give it. Kudos to him for having the balls, though. And for disgruntled Celtic supporters - your equaliser that day was offside anyway.

That is an ugly, unneccessary act of violence against what looks like a well-oiled but peaceful youngster. Shameful and not funny.

I think some Hearts supporters revel in violent behaviour because they are (quite rightly) embarrassed by their city's reputation as an effeminate Toryville.

Agreed.

Looking forward to the day out, think it will be tight, one goal in it.

Still creasing

We will have to disagree. There's no actual bodily harm involved, so I suppose why I find it so ugly is

1. The middle aged guy looks like he is with his mates.

2. The Celtic boy is on his own and found himself on the wrong side of the McLeod St segregation, outside The Tyne Arms

3. The Celtic boy looks pissed but non-aggressive and harmless.

4. The snideyness of the low-key action to do the cigarette burn without attracting the attention of any police.

It is just horrible bullying.
