Annan v Peterhead

Recommended Posts

We do seem to find it easier on the road & at least its on a Saturday rather than a Tuesday night which has been the case a few times down there in the last few seasons, unusually for this league it will be our first outing on the plastic this season. We have not really set the heather on fire yet but if we cut out giving away silly goals hopefully we can get a win.

This could go either way, Annan in really good early season form, A strong Peterhead squad failing to impress but you know if they click someone will get a doing. Doubt Simon Ferry will be risked so WG may be relieved of defensive duties. Peter Murphy seems to be getting the most from his squad if Jimmy Mac could do the same this could be a cracker.

Forecast 2-1 ANNAN

Just to add, could be around 20 local supporters joining the Blue Toon Travelling Support, Mon The Blue Toon [emoji460]️[emoji590]

A tough old fight of a match with the ball spending a fair bit of time in the Air. Hooper star man for Annan with Muir and Wallace not far behind, the whinging, niggly Wallace a player you'd rather have up front for you than against !!! How Hooper can out-jump a 6'5" forward most of the time is phenomenal. This was a much different Peterhead performance, up for it, scrapping, closing down and defending in numbers abetted by some route 1 and some nice inter-play at times. Score maybe slightly favoring the Blue Toon but Rory's strike was worth the win on its' own.

Comic moments the announcer say Gow's goal was actually an own goal and naming Cameron as Gaddie :thumsup2

Great wee set up at Annan and Peter Murphy is making great strides in the quality on offer there. Steak Pie was very good.

Had a wedding do yesterday so could not get there.. Difficult to judge a game on just the highlights but looked like a good win. great strike from Rory, was trying to remember if it was last season than Jamie Stevenson hit something similar to win the game. Remember our midweek visit down there when Rusty got a hattrick but we only got a draw, had to give one of the Annan officials stick at the end for trying to hid the match ball from Russell.
