Where is there a decline in those results? when we have Dunfermline, Alloa, Falkirk and Morton to follow I think things are looking ok. The point against County was acceptable, it was fine. It wasn't excellent. What we did to Ayr was excellent.
Homer Thompson
It's a pretty straightforward journey. Train to Glasgow, train to Fort William then bus to Inverness. For most people. What route have you picked?
Doonhamer doon south
Would take a point here but generally we not a bad away side. Optimistic and think we can take 3 points by an inspired Stephen "couple more seasons to go" Dobbie. 1-0 to us.

What we did to Ayr was excellent.Exactly so - Ross County were resolute but created next to nothing. That result amounted to 2 points dropped as we had the better chances despite not being at our very best.Draws are seldom good results when you have 3 points for a win. I would gladly have taken a draw last weekend and kept the momentum going. At the end of the season a few draws instead of defeats can make all the difference. 19QOS19
Happy with a point. 2 points against ICT and County is a good return IMO. Both those sides will likely be the top 2 this season.

SueSue
Any points off the teams destined for the top 3 are good points to get. If we beat Alloa, Dunfermline you will see that draws mean a lot.
Northfield 53
Good point but I just wish we had options from the bench to go on and win a game like today. We only really have 2 forwards the likes of today we could take Dykes off try something different but we don't have any plan B. In fairness the club are skint. Priority was to become more solid at the back which in the main has been done. given our front 5 and their attacking form I think Frizzill coming in has strengthened the front line also. at the end of the day with the finances available we have as good a side as you could put together. All said Northfield I wish we had the money as much as you.
TheScarf
We were fucking awful today. Very impressed with Dobbie. Looks in great shape these days. Very skillful and direct. I mind years ago he was quite chubby.
Monkey Tennis
A decent enough result for us - no more or less. It's main value lies in the fact that ICT didn't get a good result. What was the game like? It seemed fairly quiet for the most part? On a side note, I find the season Ayr are thus far having utterly baffling, given the once I've seen them. Yes, I'm sure that's fair and true. It's weird though that only one match has been lost, but it was such a hammering.

Also true I suppose. I know that one off matches not conforming to a pattern is hardly unknown in football. It was quite an extreme example though. Both those sides will likely be the top 2 this season. These sort of comments spook me, why bother if that is all we expect? Surely with the players we have this season, we ourselves should be expecting to see us in the top two. The players read this message board and we need them to know they are more than capable. We will add to our squad in January to make the challenge we all want to see, I'm sure of that! Let's all encourage our club to make this a Centenary year to remember! Rjc-1988
Dundee United showing today what a bad result a draw with Ross County is. Not entirely sure what relevance RC’s great away win at Tannadice has to our recent 0-0 draw but I am sure you will build a compelling argument.I have rarely seen a visiting team fail to create one solitary chance of any significance in 90 mins and Ross were undoubtedly there for the taking. If you listen to their manager and fans it was comprehensively their worst league performance of the season. For me it was a disappointing result but not a bad performance by us. I could throw back Ayr’s magnificent 5-1 win at Cappielow and say that this performance made our 2-2 opening day draw at Morton a bad result but it isn’t relevant. We are now largely back in the pack and are under pressure to go on a good run in the next 2/3 games to recoup what we have lost.Ayr on the other hand have dug in really hard after we hammered them and they have even had a 0-4 midweek reverse at Ibrox to shake off - they then go to Morton and win 5-1!!!I am seeing a resolve from Ayr that is similar to Livvy last season - I think if we finish above Ayr we will be in the play offs at worst.
