DutchBorderer
1-0 for the home team, not a blowout, but not exactly ideal either. Hopefully Mcilduff will give the defensive line some much needed solidity as he gets up to speed with training and we can start grinding out results. Best of luck to Peterhead for the rest of the season.
peternapper
Another hard won 3pts dominated for most of the game without making the keeper do too much, we get stuck going sideways or backwards too often in midfield rather than having players drive on & feed the strikers. We had our usual switch off at the back & Berwick had a couple decent chances in the 2nd half. Good to see a few Berwick supporters up not a huge amount but knowing how the trip is good to see the effort from them .
Guest TOPFITTER
Not the usual hammer throwing I expect from Berwick [emoji122]Compared to normal today’s officials anonymous [emoji122]1st half must have been 70% Peterhead possession not a decent chance on goal and Berwick could/should have scored [emoji107] 2nd half all huff very little puff, always wanting an extra pass or 3 no one wanting to beat a man or drive into box [emoji35]Goal was given to Rory but looked like it richoched of two of theirs from his tight cut back/shot and went in, looked easier to keep out [emoji3]For most of the game it was good Mick and his defence were there as our midfield and forwards cancelled out ours. Crap game, decent officials and good result.
cabbage74
“The difference in the second half was that Jamie Stevenson got forward and put in a lovely ball and we scored off a few of them last season as well.” - comment from the manager. Well stop playing him in defence then.
Guest TOPFITTER
A fit defence and Jamie and Wullie playing full-backs, must be the defensive coach who is running the team!!! Couldnae make it up [emoji107][emoji848] What’s the score wi’ Rusty ? After last year’s play-off showing surely due at least a centre-back start !!!
