St Johnstone visit Ibrox 23rd September

Recommended Posts

Didn't think we were particularly special as team today especially first half but we were extremely clinical and just had that extra bit of quality. Scored some lovely goals too.

BIg fan of Morelos' goal - the boy had a blinder. A fair few great individual performances. Arfield, Morelos and Candieas being my standouts.

9-1 aggregate score the past two games with a brilliant European result sandwiched in the middle. No bad at all.

When you take a look at our current run of fixtures (Aberdeen, The Rangers, Celtic x2 and Hearts), this one obviously stands out as being the most likely source of three points. Hopefully we can get a victory and go into more challenging matches with a bit less pressure on us.

How did your "easiest game" out of your current run of fixtures go then?

Disappointing from Saints. Not sure how much more you can really say. A few things went against us but you need to produce better at places like Ibrox.

As others have said, perfect opportunity to put it right on Wednesday night.

Thanks, Fermers.  We were needing a rest after Thursday and it was helpful that you couldn't be arsed playing for 75 minutes.

I know you shipped 5 goals today but don't worry - you were conspicuously better than the hapless Tayside shite we, surprisingly, only managed to score 4 goals against last Sunday.

That's a brilliant pic.  Hope his dugs are called Carson and Cromwell.  Shame neither have UJ collars, though.  Still, it's a tribute to how much of a procession today was, and how brief the thread will be, that we're reduced to discussing your manager's dogs.

Maybe a fermer who was at the game will come back and complain about cups of pish or javelins being thrown at the away support. That's the only way the thread will stay alive.

A training ground exercise against the much vaunted fermers, who were supposedly going to teach us a lesson.... Well and truly Sevco'd.

Our worst start in nearly 30 years we were told...

Onwards and upwards.

We were pish today.

A shite team selection and loads of players putting in poor performances.

Been said loads of times already, but throwing in Spoony who hasn't had a good game in  six months was just completely random, especially for the player who's been involved in 4 out of our 5 goals this season.

Our centre midfield is still nowhere near good enough, as everyone has said since the end of last season. Had an extra player in there and still never got on the ball or got in challenges in that first half.

Absolutely gifted them goals from start to finish. Their midfield and attack are good, but defence are poor. We missed a couple of great chance 1 on 1's thru on goal in the second half when Watt then Swanson put wide so if we'd been a bit more positive from the start then who knows.

Agree with earlier comment about Clark, every free kick against us round the box I expect a goal. Thought he was poor today as well as 3 of the 4 defenders.

I'd definitely have Ando in ahead of Shaughnessy, he's a far better defender.

That was how it used to be years back going to Ibrox and Celtic park, bottling it completely and getting steamrollered from start to finish.
