Cheers for that mystic meg. Everyone at Meadow thought we’d be overachieving if we avoided relegation this season. Probably the smallest budget in our league due to paying the price for our overspending in the Strain/Rankin years (something’s wrong when teams like Ardrossan and Whitletts have higher playing budgets than us)

Manager hasn’t strengthened the squad over the summer. Let Ben Black go to Largs where he has walked into their team and seems to be doing well. Signed a new ‘first choice’ keeper who is half the keeper of Shaun Newman.

Signed 2 forwards who wouldn’t get a game for a decent amateur outfit.

Our best player last season (McTernan) out with a long term injury has severely weakened us.

And with the whole attitude coming from McGintys attitude to the fans in the local press, he really isn’t winning the diehards support.

I said that whitlets must have a fair size of a budget, but keep getting all this playing kids pish, thrown back at me.

Fucken Mystic Meg lol?
Absolute shite anyone thinking the Ford would be winning this league lol

Had a bit of momentum at the tail end of last season, leading the Scottish Cup final into injury time, then dusted themselves down and took a very difficult route to win the WOS.  Wasn't a complete hail mary prediction.

We’ll be lucky to stay up at this rate
We were well screwed today. The sending off didn’t help us, but certainly no excuses.

Don’t see us being in the relegation mix but we are struggling. There wasn’t a lot between the teams before the sending off,  bankies ran out very comfortable winners in the end though.

Hopefully we can get some freshness back in the team and it turns back round for us , 2 or 3 passengers in the team at the moment

Good to watch? For you yes emoji30.png.

Well deserved win today emoji1360.png

Of course a win makes a difference to way you see it - but I thought it was a good game of football. You tried to play it on the deck. Didn't create too many chances but that was because we worked hard.

100% the game wasn’t abandoned due to the players injury, it was due to the ‘afters’

What the hells agendas go to do with it???

Edited to add that I hope the boy makes a speedy recovery because it was a shocking tackle on him

Would that be the Wishaw manager walking on the pitch in a disgraceful manner receiving a 'red' card due to his inciteful behaviour!!!

Another interesting game at Blair Park today (well yesterday, now). Cambuslang arrived on a good run, but an early Ross Robertson header gave the Ford a cracking start. Camby threatened and Ford looked dangerous, but then a denied penalty claim for the visitors followed by two clinical finishes by the hosts turned a close game into a 3-0 HT lead that flattered.

The second half was mainly Hurlford and they ran out comfortable winners in the end, but Cambuslang are not also rans at this level and will win more points than they drop IMHO.

Thanks to their committee, coaches and players who were a pleasure to talk to. In particular, the Camby coach who won our hidden team and handed half his prize back to our club funds [emoji122][emoji122]

Really looking forward to the return match.

The Wishaw manager was out of order going on the pitch but you seemed to have missed out the reason why he did it! The big boy kirkwood elbowed a wishaw player in the face when the ref wasn’t looking.

Listen I was a just an interested spectator yesterday but if the Perthshire lad doesn’t fly in with a shocking tackle and then kirkwood follow that up with a cowardly elbow then the game goes the full 90mins.

What was the score when it was abandoned?

The game was abandoned because of the injury which was confirmed by the match official.  And the tackle was hard but certainly not one you dont see any other week at Junior level.  To state that the game was abandoned due to the 'afters' and that 'trouble' follows Perthshire about is disrespectful to the club and fans.  No one wants to see anyone badly injured but it does happen wither innocently or not and I pray the lad is ok.

I will add a point.  I was shocked that after paying £5 admission that Wishaw were asking for another £3 to enter The Hospitality Suite if you wanted a drink.  Never seen that at any ground I've been too.

Spot on was going to write a short report but couldn’t have put it any better than this.

How’s the Ford player that had to go off injured, looked a bad one?
