As an aside. People seem to have taken he's interested in football because of his omnipresence on the show.

Has he ever said who he supports or how often he goes?

Think he's from Airdrie, is he no'?

So, we now need to ken what school he went to. ;)

For those looking Rose Reilly up, this is a superb article:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/football/2017/jul/17/rose-reilly-scottish-footballer-world-cup-italy-milan

I saw Ginny Clark tell the Rose Reilly story in a Scottish Book Week event at the Scottish Storytelling Centre.

Then Thomas Clark stood up and read a poem about her.

It was a brilliant night, and it felt like a great moment of recognition for her brilliant story.

I've been on P&B too long - I saw the start of this sentence and thought it was a "the whole room stood up and applauded" type story

I would have thought there'd have been mention of Tam's sucking up to Rangers early on.
Unless you're all used to it by now..
We kinda know that they are Tam's big team these days

He's an Evangelist and went to Airdrie Academy. I don't think he went/goes to Airdrie games. Someone I know would know him.

I thought they established early on he was a fan of egg chasing mostly and they just tacked Airdrie on to him as that's his home town.

I was going to say, to annoy the Serge, he's a regular at Hannah Park and that's why he's had part time football stopped for months.

If he went there I'd have been able to see him in the "crowd".

It rang a very faint bell in the back of my mind that there was some talk of it when he played for Rangers

He'd had England U21 caps by then. His one full cap was under Graeme Taylor against NZ in a friendly.

Incidentally when he signed for Rangers the papers were full of talk about him being the Scottish League's first black player for years. They were obviously ignorant of Vic Kasule who'd been playing for Albion Rovers and Meadowbank before Walters signed. Scottish football journalism was fucking shite 35 years ago too

The coverage was really shocking when you look back on it now. I think it was a month or so after Walters signed (late December 87 IIRC) Scottish Football Today had a story about his immediate impact on the game here.

The following month, they ran a story on a former Hearts player.

Can already predict the topics on tomorrow's show.

"Was John McGinn's goal the best Scottish goal ever?" and "tell us the overhead kick you will never forget"

What minute will Cowan chip in with "Whit aboot Faddy's goal in Paris?!"

Followed by the claim that the majority of Tartan Army fans in the ground that night actually missed the goal due to taking selfies with their backs to the pitch

Todays show is utter mince.

Was only brightened up when Richard Gordon came on and tried to convince us that Glass appointment was nothing whatsoever to do with the Atlanta connection, and just that he "happened to fit the exact profile of the required manager".....................

I heard that just as I was turning into my street. It’s ok Richard, you are allow to question some of the decisions your club makes.

I could have lived happily without ever hearing a sea shanty. I’ve now heard the same one twice in the space of 5 minutes on a programme that’s supposedly about football.

I think there only is one, it's just speeded up or slowed down.
