ScottR96 Posted March 15, 2023 Share Posted March 15, 2023 I listened to a podcast Tam Cowan was on and he admitted to being quite thin skinned which is fair enough, but I don’t understand why you would then go out your way to look at what folk are saying about you online. I’ve noticed before when he’s posted screenshots of tweets on his IG and he’s clearly searched his own name as ‘Tam Cowan’ is highlighted. For what it’s worth, I still listen to OTB most weeks and don’t really get worked up about what either him or Cosgrove say and take it with a pinch of salt. I doubt anyone on here doesn't know who I am, I've never made any sort of secret of it. I have attached a couple of your misogynistic Instagram posts below. I suspect you don't think there's anything wrong with them, but that's sort of the issue here. They don't offend me, my main thought when I saw them was just "I'm surprised the BBC haven't had a word about these", particularly after what happened with women's football before. I listened to Off the Ball for a while and used to really enjoy it. I even went to a live show you guys did a few years ago. I don't listen as much now because I'm not in the car going to games these days, so I've barely posted on this thread. I think digging through the thread looking for criticism is a bit odd, and then shoving it on your social media accounts is even weirder. However, folk do that sort of stuff all the time, and each to their own. I think it's particularly strange and not really very healthy for someone to be finding and posting pictures of people to post out to a big audience such as yours. I would probably be within my rights to complain to the BBC (and probably even Instagram) about it, but it doesn't bother me enough to do that and I'm not someone to try to get people into trouble. The alternative comedy boom started when he was about 10 years old, and by the time he hit twenty, that style of humour was already the preserve of forgotten old dinosaurs.
