Beware Co-op. Wraps aren’t in the meal deal and neither is a can of Starbucks Espresso and milk doubleshot. Them having the best salt n vinegar crisps ever is a plus though.

Co-Op's selection is pish.

Lidl is only a further 5 minutes for me but their bakery (which is excellent and amazing value for money) is unpredictable when they'll be stocking so I have to use Co-op. The beggars outside aren't homeless, they're just fucking potless due to how expensive their shopping just was.

Poor stuff. Even worse than whoever decided at some places to remove all the good options from their meal deals creating a premium section that comes with extra cost. More difficult to judge how to maximise savings and still walk away with a good combo

I like the co-op meal deal. I'm fond of the chicken skewer things with sweet chilli sauce that comes under the bracket of snack.

Spicy chicken pasta box with coleslaw in it that I can't remember the name of, those chicken skewers with sweet chilli dip and bottle of Pepsi Max for £3.50.

The coop kettle chip type equivalent? They are indeed an amazing crisp! Keep an eye out for the beef ones.

The peri peri chicken I think you're talking about - yes it's very nice. The sandwiches are utter dung though. The Co Op near my work does hot food too and the pies are superb.

Try the spiced coconut and pineapple ones.

That sounds terrible.

Basically the level of salt n vinegar strength is "may result in severe eye twitching and watering" which is what I'm after.

It does, they're excellent though. Not anything like what you're after though. May I suggest sticking your nose into a wasps nest?

My Tesco meal deal costs me £2.70, sometimes even £2.40! They expect me to occasionally do the odd bit of work to get such a luxurious reward, which is the downside.

Working on the self service tills is where you get to make dreams come true for punters. “I’m sorry, sir, that small Twix you bought doesn’t qualify, please help yourself to a larger one for cheaper instead”.
