It would certainly be a challenging league for us, but great to have some local derbies, in front of bigger  crowds than we get at the moment .

And as a bonus, no midweek games to the far reaches of the borders for us :)

How's he doing? He could still do a job for us on the park as well.

Think he was in the running to get signed by Jock, but says they never got back to him. Has a good few boys working for him now, he was doing a couple of wee jobs for me.

Looking at photos on social media I can't see any sign of cover at Bonnyton so I think it's safe to assume they're not waiting for the upcoming SFA board meeting to grant them a licence. They drew 3-3 on Saturday anyway to fall 7 points behind Stranraer reserves, so looks like they won't get a Scottish Cup place for winning the league either.

Clear run for the EOS champion - if they can manage to get a licence.

Bonnyton lose at Heston Rovers meaning Stranraer reserves are champions - so no LL play-off required and the EOS champions will go up automatically if they have a licence.

On 18th April, the SFA Board has again delayed making a decision about the 17 pending licence applications. No new date has been set as yet, even though the Licensing Committee has completed its club audits and recommendations, for most of the clubs concerned. Will this affect the EoS champions, as all 3 conference winners are awaiting licensing approval. The clock is ticking.

Also, Berwick Rgs v Albion Rovs tomorrow will be decisive, and  unless Berwick win, they will enter the Club 42 play-offs against the HFL/SLFL winners.  In any event, will either of these Division 2 clubs, be good enough to defeat Cove or East Kilbride ? If not, there may be an impact on the Lowland trapdoor,  and also on clubs seeking promotion or election, to the SLFL for next season .

So will Dalbeattie be relegated when Cove beat Berwick or do we not have a clear answer to that?

In regards to seeing teams replacing Selkirk I'd hope we'd invite Penicuik or Broxburn presuming they'd be licensed within the next year.

I'd love Linlithgow to come up but denying a team that won their conference for them would probably leave some ill feelings in the stand.

bonnyrigg will get license so they make it 15 teams again after ww go down. if cove win play off berwick make it 16 but if berwick won play off applications will be taken for the 16th pos.

So Dalbeattie are 100% safe?

Yes, Dalbeattie are safe. The rule that would effect "second bottom" is only meant to balance the Lowland League at 16 clubs when SPFL42 would be relegated to the Lowland League with the Highland League champion promoted to the SPFL. Due to the vacancy caused by Selkirk's demise there's no need to relegate "second bottom" as the league will be at exactly 16 clubs. Rather than a surplus of 17.
