No idea how you got that from my post.[emoji4] You cant be a big Rose with only one league win in eleven seasons.
Sorry just basing it on junior cups, overall leagues and cup totals?

You might have some other method other than bitterness?

Yes I misread it, not quite sure how they will sort it.

Thus far the organisation from eos has been fantastic so I'm sure they will get it right.

I did as well at first. I think something like I wrote might be the way they go with it. Overall #1 Seed gets the advantage of a week between games, whereas the #2 & #3 would have 3-4 days between their games.

Conference B top 5 looks very interesting, LTHV have come back into it with a run of results against the lower ranked teams and now have some crunch matches against those within three points of them.

Any know off hand how many of the potential Conference winners are still involved in the East of Scotland League Cup?

Penicuik/HoB, Bonnyrigg, Broxburn/Jeanfield still in it. Presume it would just be delayed.

I think league cup final will struggle to happen on that date as I don't think a lot of teams including us have played 1st round (last 16 tie) vs Crossgates

Aye but 2 Scottish Cups in that time also including 1 against a real Kelty team - not one financed by ££££££'s

Round robin is 1 home/1 away game, held from April 27th to May 4th, matches are randomly drawn (regulations I've seen below).

Promotion playoff is May 11th & 18th.

B. Title Round Robin

1. the champions of the three divisions will contest a title round robin stage

2. the title round robin stage shall be played on a home or away principle, with each club playing one home game and one away game, what club plays which opponent at home and which away being decided randomly; three points for a win and one point for a draw. Where a match is drawn it will be followed by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark as defined by International FA Board rules, the winner receiving a further one point. At the end of the competition the club with the highest points total will be declared champion of the league, and - subject to eligibility - will compete in the pyramid playoff competition for promotion to the Scottish Lowland Football League

3. if two or all three clubs in the title round robin stage are equal on points the deciding criteria will be in turn:
(i) goal difference,
(ii) goals scored,
(iii) the result of the head-to-head match between the clubs concerned,
(iv) goals scored away from home
(v) goals scored away from home in the head-to-head match or matches between the clubs concerned

4. where two or all three clubs are still equal on all of these criteria, the final deciding criteria will be whichever had the best record in their respective divisions, in turn:
(i) points
(ii) goal difference
(iii) goals scored
(iv) goals scored away from home

Premier Division is topped-up to 16 with the 'best 6th placed':

C. Formation of Premier Division

1. the five clubs in each division with the highest points totals, excluding any club promoted to the Scottish Lowland Football League, and including any club(s) relegated from the Scottish Lowland Football League, will be the constituents of a Premier Division for season 2019-20

2. where two or more clubs in a division are equal on points the deciding criteria will be as in A3 above

3. where the number of clubs constituting the Premier Division would be fewer than sixteen, the club or clubs with the best record among those which finished sixth in each division will be added in order to make sixteen

4. in deciding the best record of the clubs which finished sixth in each division the criteria will be in turn:
(i) points
(ii) goal difference
(iii) goals scored
(iv) goals scored away from home

What will be the position if Stranraer Reserves win the South of Scotland league?  Will they compete in the EoSL v SoSL Play- Off or will Bonnyton Thistle be allowed to take their place if they finish in second place?  Or will there be no Play-Off?

Apologies for not being up to speed on this one.

A licensed EoS Champion would be promoted without the need for a playoff.

The further explanation is that the Lowland League play-off is only for the EoS and SoS champions that meet the required criteria. So there can be no substitutions for a 2nd place team.

There's 3 basic criteria for membership to the Lowland League. Stranraer Reserves fail on 2 counts - they do not have an SFA License. They are also the second team of Stranraer FC and no club can have more than one team playing in a league under the jurisdiction of the SFA's Professional Game Board (SPFL, LL and HL).

  • 1 month later...

Borrowing tables from the other threads as they're clearer than mine.

Great day for the old EOS sides turned into a poor one... Leith were leading at Hill of Beath, Heriot-Watt Uni were leading at Jeanfield and Preston were leading at Camelon, but all lost (as did Stirling Univeristy EOS who'd lead at Broxburn).

Coldstream spanked Easthouses to reignite their hopes. It looks near impossible for Leith to hold 6th. Dunbar have the points, Coldstream the games-in-hand, Lily the meat in their sandwich.

image.png

Dalkeith unexpectedly crashed 'n burned at Burntisland and Sauchie lost. Crossgates pulled out an outstanding result to hump Tranent and Haddington won at Dunipace. Still 2 from 5 here.

image.png

Finally it's as you were here as everyone lost while Blackburn put their feet up.

Conference C seems particularly hard to call, especially as it doesn't look like 6th placed will be a safety net.

St Andrews will be looking for a significant improvement against their set of opponents. The reverse fixtures saw them pick up a single point.

It shows the strength of the Juniors that in all 3 Divisions no EOS  team .  appears to be in a position to make the top 5 :thumbsdown

The EOS  Premier division will be an excellent league for quality and fans alike next season

Preston were an EoS team. Lthv could still make it as could Coldstream

They are all EOS sides now, and it's still likely that at least one team that was in the EOS last season will make it to the EOS Premier. But very well done from the top teams that came in from the Juniors. It's not unexpected, that the top half in the EOS 2017/18, was about on East Junior Premier League 2017/18 quality. Of course Kelty and LTHV last season were very probably East Junior Superleague 2017/18 quality. But Kelty has moved up, and LTHV are not as strong as they were last season.
