HibeeJibee
Kind of the opposite of a trapdoorwatch... 'loft hatch watch'?... as clubs aim for the top 5 in their respective conference and a place in next season's reestablished EOSL Premier Division. Top 6 could well be good enough for at least 1 or 2 of the teams especially following Selkirk's demise, so points & GD could also come into play for those sides. At this early stage these are the teams setting the pace across the conferences: Conference A 1 Dunbar P3 7pts 2 Penicuik P2 6pts 3 Easthouses P2 6pts 4 Arniston P4 6pts 5 Leith P3 6pts -------------------------- 6 Newtongrange P2 4pts Conference B 1 Dundonald P4 10pts 2 Bonnyrigg P3 7pts 3 Bo’ness P2 6pts 4 Tynecastle P1 3pts 5 Dunipace P2 3pts -------------------------- 6 Sauchie P2 3pts Conference C 1 Linlithgow P2 6pts 2 Broxburn P2 6pts 3 Jeanfield P2 6pts 4 Heriot-W Uni P3 6pts 5 Camelon P3 6pts -------------------------- 6 Craigroyston P3 6pts Ranking of 6th place 1 Craigroyston 6pts ----------------------- 2 Newtongrange 4pts 3 Sauchie 3pts

HibeeJibee
With most clubs having completed 1/4 or more of the league program, interesting to see how positions stack-up in the conferences. Easthouses, Arniston, Tynecastle, Dunipace, Craigroyston move out of the reckoning - Newtongrange, Hill of Beath, Musselburgh, Tranent, Sauchie, Preston move in.East of Scotland League – Conference A 1 Penicuik P6 18pts - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 2 Newtongrange P7 17pts 3 Hill of Beath P5 15pts 4 Leith P7 13pts 5 Musselburgh P5 12pts ----------------------------- 6 Dunbar P7 10pts East of Scotland League – Conference B 1 Bonnyrigg P6 16pts, +32 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 2 Dundonald P7 16pts, +12 3 Tranent P6 15pts 4 Bo'ness P5 13pts 5 Sauchie P6 12pts ----------------------------------- 6 Dalkeith P6 9pts, +1 7 Crossgates P6 9pts, 0 East of Scotland League – Conference C 1 Broxburn P6 18pts - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 2 Jeanfield P6 16pts 3 Linlithgow P6 15pts 4 Heriot-W Uni P6 12pts, +9 5 Camelon P6 12pts, +5 --------------------------------- 6 Preston P7 10ptsRanking of 6th place 1 Dunbar 10pts, +15 2 Preston 10pts, -8 ----------------------- 3 Dalkeith 9pts
HibeeJibee
Worth saying I've moved to bar for the 6th place clubs down to incorporate the first 2 since given the demise of Selkirk, there's a good chance the 'top 17' could actually be needed to create a 'top 16'. HibeeJibee
Bump. Conference A now looks like a 4-horse race for the title and 2-horse race for 5th between Dunbar and Leith... If that happens in the league then Camelon have a chance to make up ground. p.s. Congratulations on the cup win. Raydale Grannie
There now seems to be a definite top 5/6 forming in each conference. So on this basis teams like Penicuik, Bonnyrigg, Linlithgow, Broxburn to name a few are in contention to win a conference, and following play-offs become EoS Champions. Can anyone clear up how many are eligible for promotion to the LL given the licence situations? Given the big influx of clubs coming over from the juniors would they be given promotion on the basis that licence criteria is met within a set time period? Seems puzzling to entice all these teams into the EoS to join the pyramid when they can't gain promotion in the first season.
