Just watched his interview with AU media and McCall seems to be developing some sort of siege mentality after the reaction to the QOS defeat and, I imagine, the reaction from parts of the ground at half time today.

Whilst he has a valid point, he must also accept that the first 45 minutes today was rotten. Nervy, second to the ball and outfought by an average Falkirk side.

Huge credit though for the second half performance. The spirit in the dressing room, that he’s trying so hard to develop, could be telling throughout the season.

Have a greenie for describing us as average. I can't remember the last time we were average.

Falkirk played 11 men behind the ball, passed well enough and scored 2/3 times they got the ball in to the Ayr box in the first half. Ayr struggled to make any headway against the packed defence.  2 goals conceded not really against the run of play but maybe flattering.

Second half we didn't give them time on the ball, didn't let them pass it about and took control of the game. Dropped the tempo a bit for a 10 min spell in the second half but mostly we were back to the highs of last season.

Geggan and Murdoch were rotten in the first half but were very much improved second half, Thought Adams was right to expect the keeper to collect that ball, maybe a lapse in communication but the keeper should never have been on his line there.

Falkirk passed the ball well and were a big, not overly physical side, the number 5, the keeper and Paul Paton were absolutely crap, The keeper reminded me of Ruddy/Hart,  made the easy things look over-complicated.  Still think they will be at worst, mid-table.

And your point is what?

Ali is a "St Johnstone" fan who assumes I am a Celtic fan because I refuse to believe the belated accusations of Shay Logan despite there being no evidence. He mentions this any time he gets the chance, which makes me think  that his big team isn't really St Johnstone. He literally follows me around posting variations on that theme.

Aye, that was the main positive for me today. Over the piece we looked an average championship side. Best we've played all season but counts for nothing.

I found that comment a bit strange tbh. There wasn’t much of a reaction after the Queens game - even on the SRE. Didn’t think there was much said today either in the first half.

Don’t get me wrong, the only team I hate more than Celtic is Rangers. You’re an angry man.

Not really, I'm just bemused by your apparent forum stalking.

And I'm not angry in the slightest. Passionate, maybe. Unwilling to be insulted, yes. But angry, no.

And apologies for the accusation of ***-ness.

I thought Adams had ample time to clear it tbh.

Look I love the big madman but that and the bizarre 2 yard pass to Rose in the 6 yard box were both his fault.  Big man needs to kick that ball like it's a Dunfermline player in those situations.

No bother ma man.

You're very welcome.

On the off chance that square go still stands, I'm signed up for the Ultra White Collar Boxing charity fights in Dundee, I'll let you know what the dates are, aye? :thumsup2

Kick it like a fifer,

A sentiment we can all get behind.

He did, the keeper also had time to stroll 10 yards and pick it up, there was no danger at all, Adams was going to escort the ball back in to the keepers hands until he realised the keeper was rooted to his line and had to blooter it out the park.  When a defender is running towards his own goal with the ball, 9/10 times the keeper will take control and either blast it up the park or tell the defender where to put it, today it looked like neither happened.

Fair play to Dohaan 19 year old kid playing his 10th or something like that senior team game and giving his captain an absolute rollicking for a really stupid pass, ball should have been kicked to the old stamp works.

Thought Jamie Adams was excellent when Falkirk were firing balls into the box in the last fifteen minutes.

Does anyone know where we can see the David Sargent photos now? Always see the odd ones appear on twitter but can’t see them uploaded on his website.

That little tiki-taka inspired passage of play was an odd choice to be sure that late in the game
