Pollok vs Talbot

I note the concerns of the Pollok Forum, about McInally and some of their players (quite brutal at times) and their defeat to the Rabs last week. Think it's all boiling up nicely for Talbot to visit there on the 8th of September. We've only conceded the one goal in our first five league games - and that as a result of a defensive howler - and are in a rich vein of form at the moment with five successive wins behind us. Think the Pollok we saw at Beechwood at the end of last season, when they ran us off the park, are certainly not anywhere near that level yet.

Wonder how McInally's going to gee them up after the very public slating he gave them after the Rabs game?

Talbot to win by 3 clear goals. We are dire with no creativity from midfield at all. We haven't played well in any game this season.

Can't see it changing next Saturday

Love the typical reverse psychology of the pollok fan. You guys play that card everytime you are in a muckle.

Listen we are under no illusions this will be a tough game especially away.

So please refrain from the poor us rubbish.

Get behind your manager, get rid of the big egos in the squad and work with a pool of players wanting to play for the team. Worked and works for Talbot/Beith/Kilwinning

Wouldn't say it's a case of big egos with the players (the managers a different story right enough). Just some players not good enough, some important players missing and players being played out of position.

Butch and Gormley should be ready for this one at least

4 years ago they would have been massive players in this fixture.Gormley is done now and Butch hasn’t been the influential signing we had hoped for.

Pollok beat us (Cambuslang ) 3-2 . That game could have gone either way. I think they are missing a raft of players . That’s what we were told. So far I have saw Of the top teams Beith, Pollok and Glenafton. For me Beith were very strong and Glenafton were good on sat - we were a bit lucky. For me Beith and Talbot will fight it out again . Hurlford doing well but haven’t really played many if any of the top teams yet. This is a great league. I’m sure Pollok will start to pick up when they get players back.
