Shandon Par
Well folks, it’s time to face the elephant, of should that be Kelpie, in the room. With the remote outposts of Ayr and Dingwall donininating the top of the league celebratory thread, it has almost, almost, gone unnoticed that a far more centrally located team has continued its relentless, vertiginous descent to territories usually seen as the preserve of part time village teams. Going in to September, Falkirk have held off the determined efforts of Alloa, with Dunfermline Athletic also showing a keen interest in grabbing bottom spot. A big well done to Hartley and the boys but for how long can they hold on to the keys? Edited August 27, 2018 by Shandon Par

Granny Danger
Play in dark blue, lost their first three league games. That sounds familiar.

Bottom spot is all yours going forward, buddy.
Poet of the Macabre
This will be Alloa's but ourselves and Falkirk could have an interesting flirtation with bottom spot.
Shandon Par
Despite swapping their plumper for a shumper there's no change in fortune for Falkirk. Better luck next week.

Shandon Par
Two fewer points than Brechin managed after 5 games.

TurbineTon
Don't you just love it when the P&B championship community collectively revels in the hilarious league standing of that horrible little club from Grangemouth. Glorious.

D'Jaffo
All the wee teams are gloating early this season. This could end up being glorious. Not for Falkirk. However it will be glorious for the rest of the league when the inevitable relegation to the seaside league comes for McKinnons Bairns. If he’s still in the job then that is.
Trogdor
Can Falkirk do a "St Mirren" like 2016/17? I remember thinking St Mirren were too far back. It didn't end well for Ayr... Where are the Michael Portillo gifs and pics is it too early?

I'd concentrate on holding onto Shankland beyond January before you start gloating over league positions. Long way to go, a lot of football to be played and a lot of injuries to occur. And there's a point too, our team is mince. We wouldn't miss anyone. Shankland leaves or gets a long term injury, or Dobbie gets crocked? Hilarity abounds.
