The only folk I've noticed with any major interest in this are racist Sevco fans (who as we all know have a slightly unhealthy obsession with sex offences), Yes Das who are convinced it's all a mental MI5 plot, journos and the Blurt. Normal members of society don't give a shiny shite.

The same people are aghast at Murrell for allegedly maligning Salmond whilst simultaneously retaining the view that Salmond was/ is a beast irrespective of the result of the trial. Spinning like tops.
git-intae-thum
Just a reminder to all those slandering an innocent man. Trial by jury is fair....... and the man was found not guilty. Subsequent trial by gossipy internet weirdo nonentities is not fair. Said weirdo gossipy nonentities continue to find him guilty........it all goes towards carefully pushing the narrative that he really is a wrongun and thus is finished. We are in a situation where independence supporters are effectively being asked by current leadership to sanction the cancellation of the individual who brought us closer to independence than any other in 300 years. Ask the Murrell's why?

If Salmond was to push for something then maybe but I don't think he's totally lost his political acumen. I don't get the scandal of the messages. Pressurise the police to investigate more accusations by SNP members of Salmond's behaviour seems like something the SNP leadership should be doing. Is Murrell meant to not be bothered in trying to get justice when he has been told of credible accusations?

Ask the Murrell's why? Salmond is #cancelled because he lost elections and because he took Russian state TV money.

Ask the Murrell's why? Salmond is yesterday's man. No one can deny the work he did in even making a referendum relevant never mind a possibility of independence but as a politician, he IS finished, regardless of the case that was made, and ultimately failed against him. He is far too divisive a figure to be near the SNP or indeed at the forefront of ANY independence campaign. To suggestthe leadership are asking supporters to "Cancel" Salmond is utterly ridiculous. You'll be postulating MI5 conspiracy theories next. As for the case itself, other than bunny boilers like Kirsty Wark, I think the general consensus is that the verdicts were fair but he's probably a bit of a lech.

Do you think the SNP vote would go up or down? Do you think support for independence would go up or down? NotThePars
I'd agree, I always wonder what folk agitating for his return think would actually happen if he did. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hujjat-Allah_al-Mahdi Or this https://dune.fandom.com/wiki/Kwisatz_Haderach

jamamafegan
Is there any real significance in Nicola forgetting about the meeting with Geoff Aberdein 4 days before receiving the full news from the horses mouth 4 days later? The unionists are going absolutely wild about it, as expected. It doesn’t seem like a big deal to me. The yoons are absolutely desperate for this to bring down Sturgeon and the SNP.

Well apparently the whole lockdown incoming is being done solely so people can’t discuss the huge Sturgeon scandal that’s going to break any day now in pubs.

Virtually everyone slagging them on that thread will vote for them next year lol and anyone who doesn’t will probably go for the Greens instead
